I came here with a carnist friend who'd heard about this place through recommendations from others. He enjoyed his food but, unfortunately, I wasn't catered for very well. There are no mains (i.e. burgers) on the menu intended for a plant-based eater which is a massive shame because they have Impossible Burger patties for their vegetarian offering. The only food item I could eat straight off the menu was their fries, which were decent. Their mint lemonade was nice too.
But when you're hungry you need something more substantial. I shared my dietary needs with the person at the till and she offered me an Impossible patty between two bits of lettuce. No toppings. Totally bland, and yet still charged the same price as the veggie burger - extortionate to say the least. This is essentially why I've scored the place very low.
The crazy thing is bread tends to be vegan by default so they could stock an alternative type of bun to brioche to widen their appeal. Also, to leave out all toppings is unprofessional for a restaurant. There are so many sauces alone that are vegan by default. Heck, just mix ketchup and mustard together - I'd even have been happy if they did in front of me with little sachets but they are not so open-minded and too rigid. I ended up paying 94AED for my meal (burger, fries and drink) regretting it knowing I'd been ripped off. Talk about rubbing SALT in the wound!
I couldn't fault the service: the staff were great people but generally don't offer enthusiasm beyond their pay grade (as per the majority of fast food joints).
The place was neat and clean inside with a minimalist aesthetic. The tables are quite low though in relation to the seating so be prepared to hunch uncomfortably while eating.
I wouldn't recommend this place for vegans. A note to head office: Please consider this ethical choice with some small changes. Veganism is on the rise and by not catering to this philosophy you are excluding a key group of...

Read moreStarting off with the weird choice to incorporate take away orders through the application but however having to honk for an employee to finally bring out your order (that’s if they come out at all). This shows their willingness to “innovate” for the sake of innovation but not for the consumers convenience. Then comes the food in rations that’d barely sustain a kid but despite that seems to be far more expensive than others in the field. No matter, that must mean the ingredients are superior and the taste makes up for it right? Unfortunately, the sliders tasted blander than a cafeterias, despite being the best seller(truffle) as well as being dry and bite size. The fries were all right, nothing special and definitely not worth the price. I decided to splurge and order the in-house made strawberry shake(A big mistake) which was 30% more expensive than others. it didn’t taste bad but holy sh$$ the amount of shake in the already undersized cup was laughable. The foam took up 20% and the shake was 50% the rest was air naturally to align with their goal of milking every customer dry while cheeping out on the actual product. Overall, not an experience Id choose to repeat and definitely not worth the money, I’d go to other spots like obr if you wanted to get your moneys worth or pickl if you’re adamant on spending 80 dhs but for an actual...
