Umm Al Emarat Park is a true gem in the heart of Abu Dhabi, offering a serene escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. This beautifully landscaped park is perfect for families, couples, or anyone seeking a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature.

The Children’s Garden is a fantastic space for kids, with plenty of fun activities to keep them entertained. Read moreI’ve always loved Magio Hair Experience Salon — it’s been my go-to for nails, and I’ve always appreciated the skill and quality of the work your nail technicians provide. However, my recent visit was deeply disappointing, and I feel it’s important to share what happened. As a working mom, I came in that day specifically to relax. I was the only client there, hoping for a calm moment to reset. I have a sensitivity to strong lighting and was experiencing a migraine, so I kindly asked if the lights in the nail room could be dimmed. The nail technician kindly communicated this to the receptionist, who suddenly stormed in and switched on all the lights again, without explanation or concern. When I explained again that I had a migraine and that it was a serious health issue, the receptionist bluntly told me that the technician couldn’t work in that lighting, and I could leave if I wanted. That moment truly shocked me. I was not just a random walk-in — I’m a loyal customer who was paying for a premium mani and pedi. I expected empathy and understanding, not dismissal. I ended up in tears — not just because of the lights, but because of the total lack of care or basic human kindness during an already stressful day. It’s a shame, because the salon itself is beautiful, and the talent of the nail technicians is undeniable. But poor communication and lack of respect at the front desk can ruin the entire experience. We are human. We deserve to be treated with respect, especially in places that advertise rest, luxury, and self-care. I hope this feedback is taken seriously — I share it not out of anger, but with the hope that no other client, loyal or new, will have to go...
Read moreAbu Dhabi! It has been known as the Garden City of the Middle East for many decades now. Umm Al Emarat Park, one of many such parks in the heart of the city, is another excellent reason why Abu Dhabi still continues to keep its well earned title as the Garden City of the Middle East, even after so many decades.
This park is amazingly well maintained, has plenty of walkways, water bodies, fountains and many other attractions like the Shade House - an iconic structure towering over the park and housing several species of plants in a moisture-controlled environment. Two upper-level decks offer picturesque views of the park and surrounding landscape.
It has a 1200 metre long running track, an amphitheater used for outdoor concerts and other public events such as movies, sports screening, cultural dances, music concerts or community theatre performances.
The park also has an Animal Barn featuring native animals such as camels as well as ponies, rabbits, tortoises, pygmy goats, and emus.
I feel that it honors the legacy of the founding President and Father of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his vision of preserving the United Arab Emirates cultural and natural history.
Originally known as the Mushrif Park, it was renamed Umm Al Emarat Park in tribute to the Mother of the Nation, Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak.
This is now on my list of places to frequent...
