I had the pleasure of dining at Terra Eatery in Al Qana, Abu Dhabi, and it was truly an exceptional experience. The diverse array of dishes we sampled left us thoroughly impressed.
We started our culinary journey with the burrata, which offered a unique and delightful flavor that set the tone for the rest of the meal. The snails were a surprising delight, showcasing excellent taste and preparation. The raw yellowtail was incredibly fresh, a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients.
The truffle pizza, though light and small, was a perfect sharing option for our group of four. Its delicate flavors and exquisite truffle aroma made it a standout dish. The short ribs with mashed potatoes were cooked to absolute perfection, showcasing the chef's mastery of the art of meat preparation.
The watermelon feta salad was a refreshing surprise, with feta cheese that clearly stood out as not store-bought but of exceptional quality. The rigatoni mushroom dish transported us to Italy with its rich, homemade flavors, and it was a pleasure to learn that all the pasta is freshly made on-site.
In terms of ambiance, Terra Eatery's setting was enchantingly earthy, providing a sense of connection to nature. The music was just right, not overpowering, allowing for easy conversation. If you have a party of 6 to 10, it's worth noting that they are accommodating, but it's advisable to book in advance due to the delicacy of their custom interior.
Our dining experience was enhanced by the unique bone studio custom lamp, where we were seated. It added a special touch to our evening. For dessert, the vanilla creme brulee was the perfect sweet ending, with a single order being more than enough for four.
While we didn't sample the coffee or teas, I personally enjoyed the yuzu cucumber cocktail, which was incredibly refreshing. The knowledgeable waitstaff were eager to assist with recommendations and cater to our preferences. One noteworthy aspect was the prompt service – food arrived quickly, so you can confidently order when you're ready to indulge.
In conclusion, Terra Eatery at Al Qana, Abu Dhabi, exceeded our expectations in every way. From the exceptional food to the inviting ambiance and attentive service, it's a culinary gem that I wholeheartedly recommend. Don't miss the opportunity to savor a remarkable dining experience that connects you back to the essence of earth through its delightful cuisine...

Health and safety protocols must be regulated and reinforced.
Once we informed the waiter, nothing happened, no one came to apologise. I had to personally request to speak with the manager.
The Manager (Evana if i remember correctly) requires urgent training on how to speak to customers. Instead of apologising she immediately gave me excuses and deflected. She was unconcerned with the gravity of the issue and minimised it by stating: “these things sometimes happen”, “its not in our control”. In addition she lied to my face claiming “everyone in the kitchen has their hair covered.” When in reality I could see with my own eyes that that’s not the case (as the restaurant has an open kitchen). She did not want to take any accountability.
In addition I requested to speak with the head chef; he was very apologetic and took the criticism very professionally.
I’m sure if I walked up to the people sitting around me at that time, and informed them of what happened, none of them would have stayed seated and continued ordering.
Overall, it was very disappointing, my weekend night was ruined and it was EXTREMELY embarrassing because I was hosting a big number of guests. I’ll never recommend this restaurant to anyone, I’ll actually warn them from coming as the manager is unconcerned about...
Read moreMy family and I visited Terra Restaurant for the first time, driven by the restaurant’s reputation, but our experience left much to be desired. It all began when we entered with our own water bottle, which they promptly refused and insisted on keeping until we left, citing their policy against outside items.
What truly soured our visit was the attitude of our waiter. Her demeanor was far from welcoming, and she even called her manager. The manager, rather than addressing our concerns, demanded that we hide the water bottle in our bags, out of sight. We explained that my mom needed her medication in about 20 minutes and required her water bottle, but they offered no empathy or flexibility.
It was disheartening to witness their indifference to the needs of their customers, whether it be medication or any other reason. I’ve never encountered such strictness regarding a water bottle in any restaurant before. This experience left us deeply upset, and as a result, we chose to leave the restaurant without...
