Tim Hortons — Restaurant in Abu Dhabi

Very bad customer service, specially “Amrita” and Boston cream donut is most properly expired , taste horrible.. Today 6th of Sep 2022, I was at Tim Hortons, Shaikh Zayed Grand Mosque Mall.. and I had the worst experience ever among all Tim Hortons branches. So, first of all “Amrita” took the order unfriendly and not acknowledging anything like I am talking to a robot! Second they offered me an expired Borston Cream Donut I think because the taste is horrible and they made me another and they said that the custurd filling have changed this is why the taste is not the same as usual, but still I asked to replace it with nutell. When she brought the nutella she just left it in a table far from me not in a near table as there were multiple tables. So she put it and left. I called her to know why she left the donut far and the surprise is that she did not ever turned to me! So I went to the other lady working there and explained and went to my table to continue eating. So I thought she will come to apologize but that did not happened. I want to firstly admit that this is the first Tim Horton's that we have ever visited (and the last) so we aren't sure if our experience was typical or if we just caught the restaurant on a very bad day.

We arrived at the restaurant after visiting the Grand Mosque (which is great by the way). Although the restaurant was very quiet, early impressions were good and it was clean and tidy.

A young guy very politely took our order and told us to sit down, all good so far ….then ….After quite a long wait we were told that our Philly Cheese steaks were ready. I went back to the counter to collect them and a different server wasn't particularly friendly, practically throwing the meal at me and only giving us one serviette between the two of us.

Of course the main thing is the taste. Well it didn't. The cheese steak was cold, with a thin layer of grated cheese lightly sprinkled across the top and a tired slice of tomato. To be honest the main taste was gherkin. We ate it quickly and left even quicker, a very disappointing end to what had been a lovely day.

So sadly I can't recommend Tim Horton's. I hope it was just a very bad day at the office...

I usually don’t leave reviews, but I had to share my experience at this Tim Hortons because of one exceptional employee — Subhan. He is by far the best employee I’ve ever come across at any Tim Hortons. He is extremely well-mannered, fully educated, and always carries himself with professionalism and kindness.

I had a minor issue with another employee, Divya, but Subhan handled it so professionally that I was genuinely impressed. Not only did he resolve the matter calmly, but he also made sure I left satisfied.

Subhan always serves coffee with beautiful latte art — something you don’t usually expect at Tim Hortons — and it shows how much pride he takes in his work. I was so impressed that I even offered him a job, but he politely refused, saying, “I’m loyal to my work here.”

Employees like Subhan are rare to find. Any company would be lucky to have someone like him. Tim Hortons, you’ve got a gem...
