I was debating writing a review, but I think it’s important for management to know our experience. My husband and I came here for our honeymoon a few months ago (we made a note to tell the hotel this when we booked). We stayed for one week. We wanted a luxury hotel in Sharjah (we do not drink so Sharjah is ideal) and I found this one looked best after searching online.
I have positives and negatives to mention:
+The hotel was very beautiful, we loved the style and decor. +The housekeeping was excellent when we needed them and they refreshed drinks and snacks daily in our room. +Everything was very clean, comfortable and it was very quiet at night. We loved that.
Here are the negatives for us:
-The hotel was literally empty many nights… we were actually the only guests some nights there. So for this reason you would think we would get extra special treatment, but we did not. The opposite unfortunately… There was no one on valet service some days. We ended up being our own valet for half of the stay. For a 5 star Leading hotel of the world… this should not happen. Especially when every hotel in Dubai includes complimentary valet. We also went to the front desk a couple of times to ask a question, but couldn’t find anyone. It really felt no one cared about us as guests there.
As I mentioned, we were on our honeymoon. A luxury hotel should make that special for the couple. Unfortunately, we did not get anything special at all. On top of this, we didn’t get any kind of room upgrade. And again, the hotel was completely empty of guests besides us some nights. And other nights there were maybe a couple other reservations there at most. We booked a nice room but it’s very disappointing we didn’t get an upgrade, especially since the hotel was truly vacant.
-Lastly, and not as big of an issue as the other points, the breakfast. The breakfast was included. We had the same waiter everyday and he was very good and professional. My husband and I appreciate a nice breakfast and look forward to enjoying it at luxury hotels. Honestly, It was quite average. Not bad and not amazing. But after a few days of it my husband wanted to eat outside the hotel because he didn’t love the breakfast. I concurred. So that was disappointing.
We truly wanted to love Chedi Al bait and hoped we would make it our spot to stay when we return to UAE, especially since we love Sharjah. But honestly the service is truly lacking and doesn’t seem up to par with the other Leading Hotels...

Our stay at The Chedi Al Bait, Sharjah was nothing short of extraordinary. It was an experience unlike any we’ve had before—and we’ve stayed in many hotels around the world. This one truly stands apart for its authentic Emirati charm, unmatched hospitality, and thoughtful attention to detail.
From the moment we arrived, the warmth and care of the staff were evident. The hotel blends traditional Emirati architecture with luxury in a way that makes you feel like you're not just visiting a hotel—but stepping back in time into the cultural heart of the UAE. Every corner reflects heritage, and yet it's equipped with modern amenities that many high-end hotels still lack.
Our room was stunningly traditional—earthy tones, beautiful wooden accents, and a true sense of peace. We were touched by the little extras: complimentary granola bars, dates, and walnuts that felt like thoughtful gifts rather than standard hospitality. Even their choice of high-quality eco-conscious amenities—such as glass water bottles instead of plastic and elegant pens instead of disposable pencils—spoke volumes about their values. It’s clear they are committed to sustainability and preserving both culture and the environment.
But the true highlight of our stay was the breakfast. Unlike the usual buffet setup, here you order from a beautifully curated unlimited à la carte menu—which not only reduces food waste but enhances the entire dining experience. The dishes, especially the Shakshouka, Emirati-style Foul, and the fresh seasonal fruits, were incredibly flavorful and filling. For the first time in a long while, we felt fully satisfied from a hotel breakfast—thanks to the authentic taste and quality of ingredients.
We’d also like to give a special shoutout to Mr. Shokry, who made our mornings so memorable. He took the time to walk us through the menu, explain each dish, and recommend just what we needed. His genuine hospitality and passion made a lasting impression.
The hotel's structure and design don’t feel like a hotel at all—it’s more like staying in a living museum, or a beautifully restored home from the UAE of 30 years ago. It’s peaceful, soulful, and incredibly unique.
To anyone looking for a luxurious yet culturally immersive escape, The Chedi Al Bait is the place to be. It’s not just a stay—it’s an...
