Al Dente — Restaurant in Al Seef

As we arrived, we were very excited to be in an authentic Italian restaurant. The decor and the restaurant ambience did make us feel we're in Italy but I was sad to see that some tables were dirty and chairs weren't clean. Bread crumbs were all over the chairs and we had to change 2 chairs. I let this one pass, but the table clothes were dirty and looked like it was used a thousand times. I ignored this too thinking I would have great food and here it comes. The restaurant food was good as it's hard to find a good Italian restaurant in Sharjah and I was so relieved to taste real Italian authentic food. Until I saw what I saw. The chef was drinking and tasting the soup with a ladle and putting the ladle back in the soup stirring it some more. He then put the ladle back to his mouth drinking and tasting it some more and then putting the ladle back in the soup pot. I and everyone with me was disgusted. I made a complain about the chef to the management and they could only say that they'll speak to him. This is a wrong practice in a non pandemic times so imagine the chef is doing it when we are battling covid trying our best to stay safe and clean. If a restaurant does not train it's staff to be clean and know how to handle hygiene then this wouldn't have happened. So never back to this restaurant again. Service - Very helpful and responsive staff..they helped us out for the customisation of our vegetarian pasta.. Food- One of the best pesto pastas I hv tasted in long time topped with brocolli, zucchini, onions and corns..perfect blend of spices..the breads which were kept complementary also tasted good..along with those dips..all in out great food..prices are little high but discount cards on many apps work🙂 However, vegetarian options are less but they customize and give pasta and pizza. Atmosphere- It's very pretty decors..beautiful European feels..those windows are love.. Rush- Since we were staying in coral beach resort itself and went for a late dinner..the rush was less.. Parking- Ample parking...
