Off the Hook Seafood Restaurant - Al Murabaa Branch — Restaurant in Central District

So I decided to take my staff out and they suggested OTH. At first I wasn't much thrilled about it because I have been there before and what made me decide not to eat because of how the food was described by the waiter. It totally set me off. But this time round I decided to go there since my staff wanted to eat there.

First we were not properly seated though we called to make a reservation but that's okay and we ordered an ice tea which was not delivered to the table but was found on the bill.. we got it out though.... That's okay too ..loll.

The ambiance was okay there was no pungent smell because as it's a seafood restaurant it's much anticipated but I was proved wrong. We ordered some sides and also the combo meal for 4pax and one additional ice tea. The food arrived and bet you me it was beautiful as in the style of dinning, though peculiar but great. The taste was on point.

My only problem is the fact that there are too many plastic bags being used on a table and also the main food is carried in plastic bags which pose as a health problem and a threat to our environment. Maybe you can get a costomize food deliverer instead of the plastic bags.

I went to this location as I have before. They wanted my al hosn and I didn’t have it but they knew I wanted to dine in. I only just returned to the country. Relax everyone. I don’t live in al ain so taking it to go is fine but I was hungry then and a two hour drive to rak wasn’t feasible at the moment. I understand Covid restrictions so I said ok I’ll eat in the car. I got the solo meal shrimp only extra spicy. Yes I knew I would eat in the car. The lady didn’t give me a bowl or anything to eat with and I mentioned my circumstances. Typically this is eaten on a flat surface with a plastic cover to be thrown away after. Trust me. I’m aware of seafood boils. But the shrimp was almost rotten, I could taste it. With every bite I just knew this shrimp was old and shouldn’t be eaten and even when I asked for a bowl she didn’t even think to give me a lid and got me one when I came back in after eating and asked for one. It just wasn’t a good experience. I’m sad because I’m moving to al ain from rak and this is the only location. I order from here multiple times a month. And this is what I’m moving to? Anyway. Maybe it’s better if you eat...

Food was awsome as usual, but this time the experiance was not good at all! They could have told that they had a play area for kids in the basement, even when we enquired about the basement seating area, they said it was for party area only ! So we ended up eating in the main area with a kid seat for my frnd son who was screaming most of the time, So we had our dinner as quick as possible to save the rest of the evening for the other customers and we got down for hand wash then we goto know that they have a play area and a dinning set up in the basement as well ! We got upset and told the service people this that they cd have told us they have a play area for kids and their response was not good at all :( WHY HAVE A PLAY AREA AND NOT TELL IT TO A CUSTOMER WHO HAS A KID WHO HAPPENS TO GIVE THEM A HARD TIME!
