A few of my friends and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mansaf wa Kunafa, a restaurant that immediately caught our attention due to its distinctive menu, which offers a blend of traditional Arabic cuisine with a modern twist. From the moment we stepped in, we could tell this wasn’t just another typical dining experience—it was going to be something special. The ambiance at Mansaf wa Kunafa is warm and inviting, with an interior that thoughtfully combines contemporary design with elements of Middle Eastern culture. The lighting is soft and cozy, creating an intimate dining atmosphere that feels both relaxed and elegant. There’s a balance between traditional Arabic touches, like intricate woodwork and vibrant textiles, and modern minimalism. The atmosphere perfectly complements the theme of the restaurant, setting the tone for a memorable evening. The highlight of our visit was the unique menu. Mansaf and Kunafa are both traditional Arabic dishes, but the restaurant offered a creative twist, blending authenticity with innovation. The menu was thoughtfully curated, with each dish reflecting the rich history and flavors of the Middle East, but with elements that felt fresh and new. We started with appetizers, which included a range of mezze dishes such as hummus, baba ganoush, and fattoush. The hummus had a smooth, creamy texture, with a rich tahini flavor, and the baba ganoush was smoky and delicious. The fattoush, a vibrant salad made with fresh greens and crispy pita, was refreshing, with a zesty dressing that made each bite a delight. For the main course, we opted for the Mansaf, a traditional Jordanian dish that consists of lamb cooked in a rich yogurt sauce and served over a bed of rice. It was expertly prepared—tender and flavorful, with the yogurt sauce adding a tangy depth to the dish. The rice was perfectly cooked and infused with subtle spices that complemented the richness of the lamb. We also tried their signature Kunafa, a popular Middle Eastern dessert made with thin layers of pastry soaked in syrup and topped with cheese or other fillings. The Kunafa here was exceptional—crispy on the outside with a soft, gooey center. It was indulgent but not overwhelmingly sweet, offering the perfect balance of textures and flavors. The service at Mansaf wa Kunafa was another standout. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that we were comfortable throughout our meal. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations, which enhanced our overall experience. The pacing of the meal was just right, with the food arriving in a timely manner and courses spaced perfectly. It was evident that the staff took great pride in their work, which made us feel well cared for. Our time at Mansaf wa Kunafa was thoroughly enjoyable. The combination of excellent food, warm service, and a pleasant atmosphere made it a perfect choice for a group dinner. The unique menu, which combined traditional dishes with a modern twist, ensured that our palates were treated to something new and exciting. It's clear that this restaurant is committed to providing an authentic yet innovative dining experience, and we left feeling full and satisfied. If you’re in the mood for delicious Middle Eastern food with a bit of a twist, Mansaf wa Kunafa is a must-visit. Whether you’re a fan of classic dishes like Mansaf or a dessert lover eager to try a new take on Kunafa, this restaurant will not disappoint. We all agreed it was an evening well spent, and we can’t wait to return to explore more of their...

Now onto the food: Crispy Kunafa Presentation 5/5–nice wooden mat Taste 5/5 The crispy Kunafa is perfection. Crispy—not too thin, the cheese was so perfectly made that you will see the stretch when you take it off the metal pan. The sweetness is also the right amount. Would compliment well with Turkish coffee.
Lotus Kunafa Presentation 5/5 Taste 4/5 DOUBLE DECKER. This one has different cheese than the regular Kunafa. It comes sandwiched between two golden crispy kadayif. Inside is a smooth milky sauce. It’s topped with lotus/biscoff spread that is also not too sweet. I gave it 4/5 bc you don’t really taste the lotus as much—I would add lotus crackers at the top and line the inside with lotus spread.
