Moli is the sister restaurant of she the menu here is Chinese henceforth it’s quite different from what they serve as shi. this is a contemporary twist on Chinese cuisine in a high-end setting. We loved our meal from starters to dessert and are already planning our next visit. we went on a Friday. We did not need reservations, although I would advise you to do them. no, let’s get into what we had started the meal with some milk, long tea that helps you open your appetite and builds a good taste profile for your taste buds to experience the full flavors of the food that you’re gonna be having. For soups we played safe as it was our first time I had the chicken and prawn Dumpling Soup & my partner had the Wensi Tofu Hot&Sour soup. Both were generous helpings & very flavorful. this quickly followed by Beef cucumber salad, wedges of beef with cold cucumbers, this salad was a perfect appetizer for the meal to follow. From the hot appetizers we had in no particular order :- Wasabi Prawn ( a very crispy/ slightly spicy coated prawns 🍤 with a creamy wasabi dip ) Chicken Xiao Long Bao( came in four different colors, but had tasteful filling ) Cuttlefish Dumpling ( i’m a huge fan of cuttlefish and these i loved cause you taste the actual fish diced up in this) Tiger Prawn Chang Fen ( an absolute star highly recommended for its uniqueness & texture play )
I would like to mention here that I absolutely loved the portions of this restaurant cause usually at high end chinese places it’s always single serve tiny potions but this was ideal for sharing. To judge a chinese restaurant there’s something’s you have to order; it’s the duck if it’s on the menu & the fried rice & noodles ( said my dad always ) 😄
we were pretty full with appetizers at this point also the Peking Duck is a for a minimum 4 people service in my opinion also i had never experienced a Cantonese Crispy Duck in Dubai so we got this, it’s a half portion but it’s enough to serve 3 people. Our server Faroukh deboned it for us & showed us how to do pancakes. ( thanks Faroukh ) The meat was delicious & the skin was crispy, this was an unforgettable experience. Lamb Rack, tender, juicy, uniquely spiced came with pickles on the side, you’d love it if you’re a lamb meat fan & enjoy grilled meat in animal fat, i order some pak choi to balance all the protein we we’re engulfed with. Udon vegetable fried noodles, completed & complimented this meal.
Moli, menu has been done well, and there’s something for everyone here, and that reflects in the dessert section too, from traditional to contemporary options. We had the Moli chocolate, which is the restaurant’s take on Dubai Chocolate, & also is very Easter befitting. The chocolate egg is stuffed with delicious pistachio paste & theres kunafe and it’s all resting on a bed of ice cream.
just in case it is not evident from my review, I would like to specify that we had a fabulous time with Moli and we would absolutely be going back to try the other things with our family and friends. This is a license restaurant. there is free valet outside the restaurant as well. i’m hoping they will stay consistent in their amazing service and quality standard of...
Read moreWent there for lunch on their first day of opening. Lots of things are not ready. Photographers were working inside. Hence atmosphere is not there yet considering the pricing they charge is fine dining, which is more expensive than Reif (Japanese restaurant next door :))
Service is decent and attentive(of course, only us is there)
Food is fusion. Chinese + Japanese style. I wouldn’t say it’s authentic Chinese food but some dishes are quite good.
The soup and duck salad tastes quite nice. Highly recommend to try. However this is fusion dish, not the typical Chinese food you’ll find. Dim sum tastes is the only authentic food here. Would come again if there’s dim sum brunch.
The duck sushi is honestly a bit disappointing, basically it’s Peking duck fusion with sushi. The downside is it’s hard to eat because the sushi rice is falling off everywhere and it’s a bit raw. Duck smells a bit strong for me personally. Plus it added Foie Gras which is quite heavy. Need more cucumber to balance it(refer to the duck salad, that is the perfect balance in my opinion ). Again sushi is not Chinese food.
The dessert is nice. Yuzu is quite tasty and it’s not very sweet! I think most Chinese like this flavor, however, this lucky cat is not from China. It’s from Japan. I would recommend to reduce the portion to mini cat size, girls would love it.
The owner seems to be Russian so I’m not very surprised about the cultural bit (not in a negative way).
Price is 300+ per head without drinks for lunch.
The downside is they don’t provide any snacks while waiting for food. Prawn crackers won’t cost that much (and this is definitely Chinese food)
I would come again if there’s biz lunch deal. But for a normal dining, I would prefer to eat something more authentic with...

This restaurant was one of the few places we tried multiple times and were really impressed by but unfortunately our last night visit was very disappointing . I hope restaurants never compromise the quality of food they serve. ⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️ Ambience: Beautiful design, spacious and very comfortable seating.
