Had a shocking experience at reif dubai hills today as I went in craving some good Japanese food. Ordered the following dishes:

Chicken gyozas: nice and tasty flavour Crab maki: dry tasteless crab maki with a very unpleasant lemon mayonnaise Salmon and avocado maki : nothing to write home about and easily forgotten Rock shrimp : nice Edamame : dry and tasteless Beef clay pot Recommended by staff: which arrived after almost an hour after us having to ask for it 3 times to 3 different staff members as they kept forgetting to serve it and in hindsight how I wish that we never reminded them.. it tasted of cow with a bad smell and possibly one of the worst dishes I’ve ever tasted, my friend had the same opinion, given it was 168 aed so not cheap by any stretch of the imagination we expressed how we couldn’t get past the first bite and that we would not be able to eat it. He offered us something to swap it with which we kindly declined because it had taken a while for it to arrive and we felt we didn’t need another dish. When we got the bill we were charged for the dish which we had returned in its entirety and the desert we chose to change the flavour of the clay pot was given to us on the house. (Which we didn’t ask for and were happy to pay for but it was kind of them to offer and take off the bill)

The staff were really kind but this experience left us quite unhappy. We weren’t trying to get a free a meal as were happy to pay for the dishes which we could eat which totalled to almost 600 aed, so given our feedback on this one particular dish any decent restaurant would’ve not charged their customers for it and taken it off the bill but instead they insisted that it was our taste buds which was the issue not their dish and hence they would charge us the full Amount.

We ended up easily paying more than we would pay at the likes of other Michelin star Japanese restaurants in dubai for dishes which left us wanting to change our flavour.

Needless to say we will not be...

🍢 Four years after Astro Boy a.k.a Chef @reifo.kee introduced us to the flavorful world of @reifkushiyaki, a new chapter unfolds at Dubai Hills Business Park – a grown-up sibling to the original. 🍽️ Stepping in, I was welcomed by a vibrant buzz as every table was occupied with eager diners. This gem offers a journey through over 30 all-time favourite dishes that are worth every bite.

🥐 The culinary symphony began with moist monkey bread and kaya jam, sharing the spotlight with charcoal croissants filled with enchanting combinations like bacon jam and veal ham. A true flavour rollercoaster that made pacing ourselves a challenge – a delightful one at that! 🍗 Then came the crispy fried chicken dressed in spicy lemon goodness – a personal favourite that stole the show with its seasoned perfection and crave-worthy crunch.

🍣 The journey continued with raw seabass dancing in yuzu say and raw salmon with negi miso. A lush green salad donning a luscious avocado dressing won my heart. Gyoza made an appearance – decent, though not a showstopper. And when it was time to bid adieu, a dessert platter of fruits, cakes, and sorbet sealed the deal. 🍹 Not to forget the fabulous cocktails, like the intriguing Saki Mojito.

🎉 This is not just a meal, it's a culinary adventure that deserves an encore. A must-try concept, perfect for gatherings with friends and family! Get ready to be delighted by @reifkushiyaki's flavours, vibes, and those...

Dining at REIF restaurant in Dubai Hills, is a delightful experience from start to finish. From the moment we step foot inside, we are warmly greeted by the lovely and dedicated staff, making us feel right at home.

One of the standout features of REIF is its talented chef, whose passion for cooking shines through in every dish. the entire team at REIF takes pride in their work and is dedicated to providing exceptional service.

The menu at REIF offers a wide range of creative dishes, but one that truly stands out today is the 18-hour ramen. This dish is an absolute must-try for any ramen lover. The light and flavorful broth, combined with perfectly cooked noodles and tender chicken, created a harmonious blend of tastes and textures. It was a true delight .

In addition to the fantastic ramen, REIF offers a variety of other Asian-style hearty cuisines that are equally impressive. Each dish is thoughtfully prepared with attention to detail, and the presentation is impeccable.

I would like to extend my gratitude to the entire REIF team for making our dining experience always pleasant .

Overall, I highly recommend REIF restaurant to anyone looking for a remarkable dining experience in Dubai Hills. The lovely staff, the talented chef, and the dishes combine to create an atmosphere of warmth and culinary excellence. Thank you, REIF, for making us so happy with your wonderful Japanese style cuisine. We will be...

As soon as we exited our car - valet was complimentary - and stepped in, their hospitable staff welcomed us and presented us with cold towels (both before ordering and after finishing our meal). We ordered Salmon Tataki, Teriyaki Chicken Kushiyaki, Chicken Ramen, and Spicy Salmon Roll. There was no kids meal, rather the main course portions were kid sized! Everything was freshly prepared, tasty, and of high quality though. The only complaint was that it was not value for money, and portions were way too less and the salmon in the salmon roll was barely visible. The open-kitchen and traditional curtains added a nice cosy vibe to the place - the restaurant in itself was very spacious, large, and moderately full. Bathrooms were not there in the restaurant; instead, you had to walk all the way outside and into a building to use the common bathrooms shared with other offices and restaurants. The service was good but food took time to arrive, and food arrived before our toddler's chicken kushiyaki leaving him impatient. It was my birthday but they did nothing special not even giving us a small cake, or at least a happy birthday song - they only gave us a generic happy birthday plastic card at the end. Food was really good and with some of these things fixed we can definately reccomend this place for high end modern japanese cusine in the heart of dubai hills.
