My husband & I were celebrating our honeymoon in Dubai. My husband picked this spot solely on the name, Hoe Lee Kow. It’s just genius! How can you NOT be curious enough to check out?! 🤔 Service: Our waiter, Karim was absolutely incredible! Once we got seated, he was giving us the best service. He answered all of our questions on the menu and suggested some items which are his favorite / popular. At the end of our dinner, he was kind to get us a cab via app and made sure we were safe! Food: EVERY SINGLE ITEM WE ORDER WAS DELICIOUS! 🤤 We ordered Jeju Scallops, Steamed Buns, Glazed Lamb Ribs, Sweet Potato Brulee. The sauce for the Jeju Scallops was so afterwards we ate the scallops we were trying to scoop the sauce. The steamed buns is very good. The lamb ribs were our FAVORITE! This was just so divine, and the lamb just melted in your mouth. You can tell it was smoked for hours. The sweet potato brulee was very different but very delicious. My husband was hesitant to try it, but we cleaned that dish up! Ambiance: This restaurant is very cute and unique! It had a modern, industrial vibe with a touch of coziness. There was artwork all around. Overall: If we are visiting Dubai, we will come back here again! & We would recommend this place to our friends / family!

Absolutely wonderful brunch experience! We had an amazing time at your restaurant — everything was perfect from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and full of rich, authentic Korean flavors. Every dish we tried was a highlight. The live music was truly the heart of the experience — it wasn’t just background entertainment, it brought everyone together! The energy was incredible, people were singing along, and it created a joyful, uplifting atmosphere that made the brunch unforgettable. A special thank you to Agata, the manager, whose attention to detail and warm hospitality ensured that everything ran smoothly. Her professionalism and personal touch elevated the entire experience — the service and organization were truly exceptional. The ambiance was warm, vibrant, and beautifully styled — we felt completely immersed. Thank you for such a memorable brunch. We’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to everyone we know!

Came back for a fun filled Saturday brunch with like music. --- Came back for... Kyaw's great service and knowledge of the menu. great cheesy tbokki! A little heavy so good to share with the table Beef mandu. Very delicious and well put together. Great textures too Hlk gimbap was a table favorite too with it's yum truffle sauce Grilled bulgogi was a great main. Nice to share too. Yummy lettuce wraps filled with soft marinated meat. -- New concept by Reif. A take on Korean bbq food. Keep in mind this was on day 2. The RFC was fantastic. I also enjoyed the kimbop hlk roll along with the tteokbokki. The Reif lunch box and ramyeon beef soup were ok and a bit spicy. They did taste authentic. I like the Reif version of the raw salmon more. The lighting and cooling could have been better. We tried the strawberry cheesecake dessert but it was just ok. I would not order it again. Overall, it's off to a good start but needs some fine tuning.

I today had the pleasure and opportunity of dining at this new Korean cuisine restaurant, and I have to say that it was an incredible experience. From the moment my family and I walked in, we were greeted warmly by the friendly staff, who made me feel right at home. Here I wish to specifically commend Mr Kiaw (but pronounced as a J instead of K).

The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, with a modern yet cozy ambiance that's perfect for a night out with the family.

But of course, the real star of the show is the food. Every dish I tried was expertly prepared, with fresh ingredients and bold flavors that left me wanting more. It was the first time we tried Korean food and it was very nice.

Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an exceptional Korean dining experience. The service, ambiance, and food were all top-notch, and I can't wait to go back and try more dishes!

——————————————————— Update February 2024

I had the pleasure of dining at once again at the restaurant with my family, and it was a wonderful experience. The food was as delicious as always, but what really stood out was the exceptional service that we received. From the moment we called to book a table to the moment we were welcomed at the restaurant counter, we knew we were in good hands.

Our waiter, Mr. Kiaw, deserves a special mention for his excellent service. He provided great food suggestions and was attentive to every detail throughout our meal. His professionalism and welcoming attitude really made our dining experience special.

The entire team deserves recognition for their teamwork, which is evident in the seamless service that they provide. The warm welcome, attention to detail, and great food make this restaurant a must-visit.

Overall, I highly recommend for their exceptional service and delicious food. If you're looking for a pleasant and memorable dining experience in nice surroundings, look no further than this...

Knowing beforehand that is NOT a Korean restaurant can make the difference. It is fusion korean-inspired food but definitely with a strong twist. That said, in my opinion food was great. The interpretation of tteobokki was really surprising and tasteful, amazing. Dumplings absolutely excellent. Sauce you can have spoonfuls of it. Bulgogi I would have more caveats. Over reliant on the 3 sauces of which pesto was average and tomato too cold. I believe they could had done a better job than straight out of fridge because becomes slightly dry and the oils get clumped or solidified. The meat itself was good without being incredible. Dessert (i had chocolate cake) was excellent and an absolute repeat. I will definitely come back and try more dishes because the overall was a great meal. My criticism comes from judging at Othman’s standards which are great, so don’t think bulgogi was bad or mediocre, was very good just not superb. Service, provided by a lady by name of Jackeline was real good. I can recommend it, but at the same time I would discourage people that have seeds allergies in general or that can’t do basic spicy. Korean cuisine (even inspired) is what it is. I am some times surprised that people complain about what are in fact basic traits of the cuisine they are willingly going to experiment… if you can’t or won’t do meat… maybe better to reconsider going to steak houses in general… same applies to spiciness or sesames… On my list of top places in Dubai. Price wise… well is fine dining. I spent about 500 for one. Not regretting it at all, but can’t call it casual dining. I would have appreciated 2-3 more choices of by the glass wine with heavier bodies to work with the...

So I made the reservation to celebrate my husband birthday , paid for it fully in advance and marked my note as its birthday celebration. The reception called back to confirm that date & time and reconfirmed it’s a birthday celebration for a party of 3. Everything went well until I arrived earlier with the cake - where I was informed that there is a “cake charge” of AED 800. Now the situation is getting funny. First of all , nobody ever informed me about the cake charge - isn’t it normal for a birthday celebration come with a cake ? If you want to impose the charge , shouldn’t you inform the customer in advance so they can make their choice ? Secondly , I paid a total of AED900 for 3 pax - 3 package of Korean meat m , and the fee for serving my own cake charge itself cost me almost my meal price ? The way service team handle our conversation was very ignorant until I made my point that I would rather have my booking cancelled and want a refund. Then they decide that they will do me a “favour” and waive off the charge.

They took the cake from me and proceed to keep it in the service counter - out in room temp. 🤷‍♀️ - note that this is 3 hours before our arrival time. As I was leaving , I saw this and request the waiter to kindly keep the cake in the fridge - and was answered that we don’t have space in the fridge for this. Avoid this place if you don’t want unnecessary disappointment to your important date. Other than that , food and drink was average - with the price you pay , there are plenty of nice Korean dining experience...
