Cuisine: The highlight of Tulua is undoubtedly the food. The menu is a masterful blend of innovative dishes and classic favorites, all prepared with the freshest ingredients. The Tulua house salad, which was wonderful and bursting with flavor. The Grilled Salmon was an absolute triumph. The fish was perfectly seasoned, allowing the natural flavors to shine through. Each bite was a delightful and rich with buttery taste of fresh salmon. The Mongolian beef noodles was another standout, tender and succulent, served with a rich homemade sauce. Each dish was artfully presented, showcasing the chef’s expertise and creativity.

Dessert: Dessert was a delightful conclusion to our meal. The Raspberry Pistachio cake was decadently rich cream and mouth melting cake, it was a heavenly treat. The coconut cake is an absolute delight for the taste buds. The cake boasts a rich, creamy flavor that is perfectly balanced by the natural sweetness of coconut. Each bite is a harmonious blend of light, fluffy cake and luscious coconut, creating a symphony of flavors that is both refreshing and indulgent. Both desserts were a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to high-quality, flavorful dishes.

Terrible Experience at tulua

I had the most horrendous experience at tulua . Firstly, the customer service was abysmal. The staff seemed indifferent and couldn't care less about attending to customers' needs.

Secondly, the food quality was a disaster. I ordered a sandwich that tasted like it had been sitting out for hours and the staff was hitting on a woman and ignoring me , and the coffee was lukewarm at best. It was evident that no care or attention was put into preparing the food.

Furthermore, the hygiene standards in the store were appalling. The tables were dirty, and there were crumbs everywhere. It felt like I was dining in a pigsty rather than a reputable coffee shop.

And don’t let me start with the manger cristina she keep offering me selection from their terrible menu like she was trying to achieve their target from my pocket, and zero managerial skills i ordered an Roman and asked for a fork and she & she instead that i have to eat it with a chopstick and i didn’t get a chopstick, more over if you are having a water bottle from out side you are not allowed to enter the coffee shop like come on i am supposed to stay out till i finish it ? Overall, I would strongly advise against visiting this coffee shop unless you enjoy terrible customer service, subpar food, and a complete disregard for hygiene. Save your money and go elsewhere for a decent coffee shop experience. If you don’t care about your life feel free to visit it.

This is an absolutely exceptional place around the DSO area. It's not just the cuisine, but the VIBE which does make all the difference! Christina and her staff are the most attentive, caring and welcoming hosts you can find.

Absolutely worth mentioning also:

Food. Always fresh, cooked to you liking, any special requests respected. Artful chefs and a variety of food choices: from pretty traditional to Eastern European, which is a true life-saver. Borscht and Pelmeni is a must-try even if you don't know what these words mean. Coffee. Just about any brew or blend you like. The team knows a lot about every bean and will gladly share. A coffee grinder which looks like quite an investment is just in front of the bar, so you can enjoy the view of the process if you're lucky. Hint: ask for V60 — it kicks right in after a cup, slowly but reliably to keep one hyper till the end of the day! ) Tea. If you're like me, sick of all the lousy teabag mini-pots with just a hint of a taste and smell, ask for your proper tea brew at Tulua. The regular black tea CAN really taste and smell great, if done right, and that's what you get. Regular or strong (try it!) — it's a game-changer, worth a separate mentioning.
