Imperial Biryani — Restaurant in Dubai

If you're a fan of Indian or Pakistani cuisine and you haven't dined at Imperial Biryani yet, you're missing out on some seriously majestic food. The restaurant's swanky atmosphere will make you feel like royalty, so make sure you dress to impress (or at least wear clean pants :)

Ordered a Hyderabadi Dum Biryani for delivery via telephone with special instructions for boneless meat.

The food was delivered in record time (~20 mins after order was placed which was impressive. The food was delivered in eco friendly paper based container with very good portion (sufficient for 1-2 people).

The biryani itself was served with 1 boiled egg (which is a pleasant surprise, for me). And the special request of boneless meat was followed through. However — this biryani wasn’t one that I would be returning to again. (sorry!)

My observations that has completely put me off:

The egg was over cooked as was indicated by the greying of the yolk inside. The meat wasn’t cleaned well. Every boneless piece contained fat attached to the meat. There was little to no fried onions on top/inside the biryani and little to no biryani masala at all.

On a positive note, the biryani isn’t greasy at all. The rice they used is long grain biryani rice, fluffy and not sticky at all.

This place may be right for some but unfortunately, it wasn’t...

Very bad delivery service and worst behaviour of the person on phone sitting in the reception. After 15 mins of ordering my food he called & said it'll take 1hr more. After 1hr 15 mins when I called again he started saying it can take more time, rider is on the way what to do. He took it very casually and when I got angry he started saying if you don't want he'll cancel the order. Worst way of speaking from a Restaurant reception in Dubai. I have never faced a restaurant talking like this after delaying more than 30 mins & total time taken 1.5 hrs. The Restaurant owner should immediately take action & remove this guy from taking orders & dealing with Customers in such a bad way. Bad Reputation doesn't take time to spread in Restaurant industry.
