I have been seeing Jabbar bhai videos for past few years. Visited the Damascus street branch The first time I ordered for take away was a mutton biriyani few months back the rice was undercooked , dry and no flavour of biriyani and when I called and complained they told you are the only person to say bring your rice. For me to reach hotel from my home would be 1hr minimum and this is how they responded me. After that disaster of an experience I thought will give a try second time yesterday and called to place an order with them but they never picked up my call at all and when reached the shop they gave me a missed call. I mean seriously a customer service person can’t call back instead giving me a missed call ?? I went to shop and ordered chicken 65biriyani since no mutton biriyani was available and was told will be ready in 5minutes. He made me wait 30minutes. He kept saying chicken 65 is taking time. Every time he claimed 5minutes. It’s not like they are going to make biriyani and give me, it’s already made. For making a chicken 65 they needed 30minutes plus. And they can be honest about the time what will take for it. Finally after lot of debate I was given my money back since the biriyani never got ready. Left the shop empty handed wasting 30minutes of my time. Spending money and wasting time is not worth it for that quality of biriyani being served. In many videos I have seen Jabbar bhai claim that wait is no more than 5-10minutes and he keeps claiming they always have all biriyani ready until shop closes. I m very much happy to wait if you can be honest about the wait time but you just keep wasting our time and lie. And in one of the videos Jabbar bhai mentioned those who give bad reviews are people who are jealous of him. People who spend hard earned money and spend their time to eat your meal are not jealous. We review it because we spend our money and eat and not like some influencers who are stuck in your shop reviewing and praising all good for nothing. Or may be your influencers get good food to eat. Overall Everytime I stepped in your shop it was never a good experience. And there is no parking at all which is such a hassle in that area. The claims Jabbar bhai gives in his videos and the things that happen in shop are two very different things. Extremely disappointing and...
Read moreI've been meaning to visit Jabbar Bhai Restaurant in Al Qusais with my family for a long time, and we finally made it. While the experience had its ups and downs, there are definitely some key takeaways worth sharing.
Parking Woes: One of the first challenges we faced was parking. There’s no paid parking space near the restaurant, and I had to park my car almost 500 meters away. This can be quite inconvenient, especially when visiting with family.
Ambience & Comfort: The ambience of the restaurant is nice and welcoming. However, a major drawback was the non-functional air conditioning. Even at the beginning of summer, it was quite uncomfortable, which left us frustrated during the meal. This is something the management really needs to address.
Hospitality & Service: On a positive note, the hospitality was excellent. The supervisor and the lady server stood out with their pleasant attitude and attentive service. Their warm and friendly approach definitely helped make the experience more comfortable despite the AC issue.
Food Experience: We tried the Chennai Biryani and Ambur Biryani. The Chennai Biryani definitely stole the show — flavorful and well-prepared. However, the hygiene of the side dish cups was disappointing. One of the white strip cups looked unwashed, which raises concerns about cleanliness. Hygiene should be a top priority.
Pricing: The prices seemed slightly on the higher side compared to other nearby restaurants offering similar dishes. While people are drawn here for the brand name "Jabbar Bhai", it's important for the restaurant to ensure the overall experience matches the expectations tied to that name.
Final Thoughts: Jabbar Bhai Restaurant has potential and a strong reputation that brings in customers. A few improvements in basic facilities like AC and hygiene could really elevate the overall experience. I hope the management takes this feedback constructively. God bless, and looking forward to a better...
Read moreI had a chance to try Jabbar Bhai restaurant and tried their mutton biryani, chicken 65.
Mutton biryani - Authentic Chennai marriage biryani, no overpowering masala's. Simple ingredients as usual what he explains in his youtube videos. Mutton pieces are cooked very well. Condiments include Brinjal curry, onion raitha and rava/semolina firni. If you are looking for spicy Hyderabad biryani, sorry this is not that place. The biriyani and sweet/firni is very light as firni bring the same taste of my mom's preparation. The quantity is good enough for 2 people or 2 biryani for 3 people for heavy eaters.
Chicken 65: Fresh preparation straight from kitchen. They do preparation only on order, hence it is fresh and tender.
I have to congratulate him for opening a restaurant in the UAE. As a person, I always admire him because he teaches his secret recipe to others and encourages them to do the business in the proper way.
First thing I like about this restaurant is the menu is simple, you order and pay what you want before dining or take away. Food is delivered to you in a packaged way and can be taken away by yourself if you can't finish the food. There are a lot of cost savings and avoid food wastage in this method which proves Jabbar Bhai's intelligence. If you need more food, can be ordered while dining and paid later.
I have given 4 star rating since I noticed there are lot of package items used for dining customers also. I leave it to Jabbar Bhai, he is a good human and definitely it will be taken care by his team.
Staff's are very polite and provide excellent service.
The best time to visit is weekdays, you can find ample public parking. For those who complain, the restaurant can't handle 1000 people for lunch which is beyond it's capacity and expecting same service like normal restaurant is definitely not possible.
Expecting multiple more branches to handle the crowd including one...
