I had a very bad experience with this restaurant with poor customer service that does not value the importance of the customer to running a business. Since we live in JVC and don't have enough restaurants, we order food through Smile app for delivery, so we always kept the app option as delivery default. Last week( dated 24-May-2024 6.28 pm) we searched for machine chicken, chicken chukka and bread and the app showed this restaurant. this restaurant was in “Al Qusais” and the app showed pick up only unfortunately we didn't noticed this and placed order and paid Aed 48 after app discount. After half an hour I checked the status and realized it was pickup only, so we immediately contacted the customer service team and they contacted the restaurant to cancel the order, but the restaurant refused and said the order was prepared and packed. They said it was non-cancellable and non-refundable. They never listened to us on this matter. We agreed it was our fault and if it wasn't returned then it was understandable. But here they said its cooked separately for us so cannot. In all similar restaurants, everyone knows that the machine chicken and bread ready item, So there was no need to cook anything, so it would have been very easy to refund at least half of the amount, but they didn't. Many times we have received wrong items from different restaurants but we never raised any issue about it knowing their working pressure. Here this restaurant attitude is very unprofessional, we thank you for not getting the food, we are sure that the quality of their food will match their attitude. I have objections about apps promoting restaurants like these who don't know how to handle...
Read moreTo be clear, I haven’t personally visited Kozhikode Rehmath Hotel yet. This all started when my colleague happened to spot an ad while walking through a corridor in a building. The ad promoted a fried chicken sandwich for just 5 AED. It looked tempting—the sandwich seemed generously filled, and let’s be honest, a chicken sandwich for 5 AED sounds like a great deal in today’s world.
Now, I’m not entirely sure if the ad was officially from Rehmath Hotel, but when we called to confirm, the staff acknowledged that it was theirs. So, I’m sharing this review based on that confirmation.
We placed an order from our office—three sandwiches for a total of 15 AED. The ordering process was smooth. We called, they asked us to send the order details and our location via WhatsApp. Despite the hotel being a bit of a walk away, the delivery was pretty quick.
As for the food: the sandwich came wrapped in porotta, with some veggies inside and small bits of chicken here and there. While it wasn’t as packed as the ad made it look, let’s be real—ads always show the best version. For just 5 AED, it’s unreasonable to expect a full-blown meal with loads of chicken. That said, the portion was filling and could easily satisfy someone looking for a quick, budget-friendly bite.
This isn’t a complaint or a criticism—just my honest opinion based on the experience. I appreciate that they’re offering something at this price point, especially when many people look for affordable meal options that...
