I ordered delivery twice from this restaurant. Both times the food came very well packed and arrived piping hot. I feel it’s almost as good as dining in the restaurant, minus the dining experience and ambience.
For delivery, I ordered the wagyu sando (must order), edamame, beef gyoza, avocado, pickled cucumber, and chicken rice.
I was quite excited to see chicken rice on the menu and it smelled really good upon arrival. Somehow the rice is not as fragrant as it smells. Just not infused into the rice grains as I’d like. The black sauce is not the right type of black sauce. Not sure if it’s because it can’t be found locally in the UAE. I’ll give it 3/5 stars, based on a Singaporean Hainanese chicken rice standard. It still kind of satisfied my craving for SG local food though.
Decided to visit the restaurant on a Sunday and was pleased to see monkey bread with kaya & salted butter… and nasi lemak!! By now I was convinced that maybe the owner or chef is a Singaporean. The color of the kaya is abit too bright green… but damn it hits the mark. The coconut taste is so rich and it’s the right amount of sweetness. The nasi lemak rice is super fragrant and coconuty. Fried chicken super good but got quite salty towards the end. I prefer my sambal chili sweeter but I have no complaints. Anchovies and nuts were fresh. SO satisfying. I would totally return again on a weekend to fulfill my SG local food cravings.
As for the rest of the kushiyaki, we got the rock shrimp, angus beef with truffle mayo (must order), angus beef with black pepper sauce (must order), chicken wings (must order), salmon (must order), as well as a bowl of their ramen. We honestly found the ramen broth a bit too salty but maybe it’s just a matter of preference. Lemongrass taste was strong. Love the yuzu sour.
Service is very very good. Prompt and friendly. Location wise, I feel it’s a bit of an inconvenience to come if you don’t have a car. Taking the taxi is fine but after that it’s hard to hail a cab. Gotta order one from the apps. Love the ambience of this place, and would totally revisit and reorder for delivery.
Price wise is on the higher side, but perhaps we over ordered. Our bill came up to AED 530 for 2 pax dining in, but I think it’s worth it because the food and experience and...
Read moreWaiter took our order of 5 items. My friend mentioned at the end (without being asked) that she was allergic to oysters and oysters sauce. Waiter (trainee) comes back apologizing that 4 out of 5 items got oyster sauce in them. They confirmed that they can’t serve any of it as it’s cooked in the same oil or on the same grill. Jenny took over and explained the above as the waiter was under training and couldn’t find the words for it. She left us with limited menu options and stated that all the ordered items are pre marinated and can’t do anything about it right now. When leaving, due to disappointment, I have asked to talk to the manager. The host picked Bir from a group of people walking out. Bir heard the disappointing experience, confirmed that everything is done on the same grill, and stated: “sorry, thank you for your feedback. I will inform my CEO”. He stated that it’s not fine dining it’s inspired from street food. Repeated it few times with no genuine intentions. (Felt like he just wanted us out). Bir suggested to go to the other branch of the restaurant. When leaving away it was noticed that Jenny smiled in a sarcastic way standing next to Bir. I have mentioned to her: “there’s nothing funny in the situation”. We left, had dinner at another outlet. On the way back I have asked to talk to the manager again, as the situation was humiliating and was not about the food concern, it was more about being treated badly. The waiter who took our order initially was worried he would be in trouble if he gives Bir’s name out, he left, called Jenny and then Chef Jan came to meet us, apologized for the incident and explained. The review is a result of bad management and treatment and is not about the food itself. This was not expected especially from a restaurant who won a...

I can definitely have more than one portion of this... 😋😋 CHICKEN TERIYAKI THIGH & ANGUS BEEF WITH TRUFFLE MAYO SATAY... The beef was cooked to perfection and I'd say beef over chicken any day. RAW SALMON- This is for sushi lovers, what i loved best about this it had little charcoal rice cripies on it which added a good flavour to the salmon. MUSHROOM CLAY POT RICE... Its a mix of buttered mushrooms and tempura mushrooms, but it seemed like the whole box of butter was used to make this dish so tasty... Lol... Good choice if you are a veggie and love mushrooms. For dessert there was Tiramisu, Molten Cake... The tiramisu was so fresh, and true to its name, cheers you up in an instant with that kick of coffee😁 The molten cake is pure chocolate temptation , with pecans I think and peanut butter topping.
