May the owner or the management team see this message. I Came here to dine on March 26 about 5.00pm (please check the cctv). I asked a tea. The waiter boy brought it, i was very hungry and i was going to order something to eat as well. While i was looking at the menu to order i was just about to take the first sip of the tea. The manager or someone who is in charge started yelling at me saying thats "its Ramadan you cannot eat or drink inside. Go out and eat or drink." He also said baladiya (the municipality) will fine them if I eat inside. Look, i respect all the religions. I went to this restaurant because it was opened. I didn't know that the municipality will fine for eating inside. He could have just kindly told me to leave, and i will leave without asking anything. But he chased me out as a stray dog or a cat who went inside a restaurant. He even got very angry because i didn't understand what he said because he was talking in hindi. The young waiter boy translated it for me and said to leave..but he was very kind though. And then i left leaving the tea on the table. I dont know how other restaurants allow to dine inside during ramadan season. But this restaurant told me that it was not allowed and municipality will fine them. The food may be delicious as other reviewers have commented. But i didn't get a...
Read moreSher Afghan is a hidden gem for those seeking authentic Afghani cuisine. From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed by a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complemented the traditional Afghani dishes they serve. The menu boasts a variety of delicious options, from pulao and dumpukht to grills, barbecues, and curries.
We ordered the Afghan Pulao with Mutton Kadhai, and both dishes exceeded expectations. The Mutton Pulao, garnished with carrots and raisins, had a distinct, flavorful taste that wasn’t overpowered by spices, allowing the quality of the meat to shine through. The Mutton Kadhai was equally impressive, with tender, perfectly cooked meat and a rich yet balanced sauce.
To accompany our meal, we ordered a pot of sweet lassi. It was thick, creamy, and served in an unexpectedly generous portion—enough for four glasses, even though we had only ordered two!
The food, service, and overall vibe at Sher Afghan make it a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Afghani flavors. The light touch on spices allows you to fully appreciate the natural taste of the ingredients, especially the meat. I absolutely loved this place and will definitely...
Read moreI usually love this place and always order about the same dishes but I was pretty put off recently.
They need to review hygiene and ensure that there’s no hair in the food, whether it’s, eyelashes or from their arms or beard or whatever! The last time I pointed it out, I was told it’s an eyelash! Why would the chef be touching parts of his face whilst cooking/serving!
Another time, there was an egg shell in the soup and I couldn’t finish it as it was off putting!
The flies in this place! Gosh.. sometimes I’m worried one might fly into my mouth as I open it fr the next bite!
I ordered the tea recently and it had no taste! It tasted like it was about to run out and they added some boiled water to make up 2 cups!
As much as I loved this place and ate their food quite a bit, I’ll take a little...
