Tunday Kababi — Restaurant in Dubai

Hello Every one Good evening this is a story of disappointment, Sadness, Heart breaking and a totally appaling situation we faced today at Tunday kebabi Its Friday night i heard and saw them on vlogs so decieded with my family to dine in. When we arrived parking was available its RTA paid parking on road.We walked towards Tunday kebabi it looked fantastic from outside beautiful decoration and fit out work.

Long waiting On arrival we found lots of people were on a waiting list and it was almost full our no was on no 3 after 20 peoples long que.

We came all the way from Al qusais spend 30mins already now we been told to w8 another 45mins understood its a weekend everyone is out in this nice weather to dine out. On our turn we were welcomed by the Staff they were friendly and looked groomed. Till here things were ok but it took 8mins to take our order.

Short of staff Had to call 3 times only than our order was taken like they were doing us a favor.

Food prepration and serving

We ordered 3 plates tunday galawati kebab 1 chicken biryani, Chiken Malai boti 1 Chicken Qorma 5 paratha 2 nans i asked the oder taker if this would be enough for 5 of us, he assured yes its good portion.

By no surprise Food took 15 mins more and served with missing qorma and biryani Tunday kebabs tasted normal was not so special about average , after calling loudly 3 to 4 times manager took 10 more mins more to bring us biryani plate with 2 spoons only i had to call the waiter again to bring us 3 spoons again 4mins he took , biryani taste not what we assumed and heard in this price we get 10times better biryani our moods were getting spoilt just imagine you are sitting on a table with nan and food is getting cold.

After few more requests and calls to staff qorma got served for after15mins i took first bite it had onion smell in it. Qorma needed to be fried another 8 to 10mins which they didnot due to rush i guess. Qorma biryani and kebabs are acombination you dont bring food in instalments. It looked like they cut the chicken first then clean it , cooked it and served. Family of 5 we didnt even finsh half of it. Our moods gone off

Proffessionalism??

Come on guys we were so hungry in hunger person eat even average food without complain but your staffs behavior complete lack of proffessionalism attitude not only ruined our mood our hunger but made me sit for an hour to pin down these points its 2am instead of sleeping i am remembering my experience 😞

Manager Attitude We left full chicken qorma 1 plate kebab and half biryani on the table this was all in front of the manager we told him complained but instead he pacify or make things right he gave us bill which we paid he sees us leaving but didnt call us either.

Anger and peak of frustration We all family were so disappointed and felt cheated and insulted.

You made us pay for delay order and late served food.

To the managment

I had to leave my family on road and show you my anger and frustration shout in front of customers this was done so at least others dont get treated way we did now instead they being sorry or humble thier manager had courage to argue and gave different explanations for this displeasure and asking us to come back eat again in the resturent!! what a non sense any one in right mind wont do this. Instead they should refund our money in full this is the least they should.

You cant pay back our time our energy , our mood which was spoilt and our faith we had lost at your resturent but at least show that you care and refund us our money back. I definitly wont suggest you guys to others but will have respect for you that you accepted your failure and treated us with respect by...

A very elegant place for dining in ! Liked the ambience ! A warm welcome by waiter with smiling face !

Things started going wrong when we checked the menu . 1 - All items are expensive ! 2 - They are charging 15 dirhams for chicken gravy - which is normally free everywere else ! Menu has all kinds of breads but even rotti is 5dirhams and all other breads are 5- 10 dirhams

So by seeing the menu i was unhappy . As i wanted to minimise my budget and i could not see anything cheap there even the rotti !!!

So its never recommended if you are on a budget !

Secondly about the waiter - He was so nice ! He explained everything well and he supported us in choosing the right dish and even rotti. It was all good - until when we realised his tastes and our tastes are extremely different !

Moving to the dishes we orderd ! we wanted to try their tunday kebab - In the menu there was chicken for 22 and Mutton for 24 (4 pcs / servinvg) . So we requested we need 2 of both to try and he was ready to serve us which felt good !!

Now taste test - Both the chicken and mutton was kind of raw for me . But the waiter said it is like that only ! But for me i would never eat those kababs again as i really felt it was not cooked well !!! And chicken was salty compred to mutton ! So i dont recommend this kebab !!!

He suggested a kali mirch chicken to us - we orderd it and we wer expecting from the name it would be spicy - But instead it was sweeet !!! The dish was pretty good (like butter chicken) it was sweet though ! Any way nothing to do with kaali mirch !!!!

When we were choosing rotti . I wanted kulcha and asked him if it was good ! He said not to order it as it would be tooo oily . I did not understad why he said not to order it - It is there in the menu and if they think its not good either they should remove it from the menu or they should improve the quality of food !!! Not tell customer dont choose that as it is too oily !!!

Now when he bring the rotti and naan we orderd we found that the naan was too oily/ buttery !!! lol !!!

Now comes the intresting part ! When i got the bill ( i was ecxpecting the price to be around 65 )

As i was choosing my dishes by checking the price i know how much it should be ! We found the bill is 70+ So i checked again - i found that they charged us for 2 naan where as we had only 1 .

When i found this out i asked them to remove it the cashier was very upset. I think the cashier is kind of owner or prtner and he instead of telling sorry . He was kind of angry on us or the waiter for finding it out or making mistake ! Any way his attitude was so bad !!!

All in all i swould never recommend this place to anyone . Even though the taste is ok and their service is ok ! There are somethings that they should improve to provide good service !!!

I always see large crowd here at night but if they dont take care of these things i am sure they are gonna get lot of hates and low ratings !!!

I have taken my time and am writing this long review so that the management would see and correct it !

Forme this restaurant is...

Visited for Eid Dinner. But my experience was just waste of money. We travelled from al qusais to Dubai silicone oasis long way. Used navigation to to reach, else it was difficult. Parking was easy, there was small green garden arch type area surrounded by other restaurants which was beautiful.

But restaurant was much small. Only 4 or 5 tables with sofa settings. Not Kid friendly at all no attraction No kids food No french fries type items even.

It was Eid 3rd day and no rush, and many dishes they refused the availability.

Finally we Ordered their specialties Tunday kabab Shami kabab One more long shaped kabab (dont remember name) Nihari Mutton biryani Chicken kali mirch And all dishes except biryani disappointed. All dishes were served in 10 to 15 minutes and did not seem to be freshly cooked. We felt it was precooked 100% and just warmed n served. Presentation was awful. Plastic black plates and just kabab No garnishing, no drcoration no extra salad or any item TASTE: It was soft but There was no taste at all in all kababs. I felt they took daal and cook wid chilli only. Trust me there was no taste in any of the kabab. Chicken kali mirch was just a curry wid chicken, and again no taste. Nihari was a curry was cooked in more turmeric and not tasty at all Mutton biryani was different and i found it tasty so ordered one more to fill our hungry tummies. 😋 Shahi tukrra in sweet was just ok

The only tasty items were their paratha and qulcha but surprisingly they were too costly like a 5 star hotel rates. They were 8 aed 6 aed. Which gave me a shock while i saw the bill. Most weird thing that they did not have any item for babies n toddlers. No french fries no mashed potatoes no cheese pizza no nuggets. So we ordered plain boiled rice only, which was not served till the last moment. While asking again and again they said we dont have so we are making new. And they arrived at the time of billing So imagine that the food we ate was all precooked. Which was cooked served eaten During boiling plain rice only. And they charged for those late served boiled rice 18 aed. I paid more than 350 aed which was much way higher. I was shocked to see the bill And was feeling pain to pay that huge amount for that NO Taste, cold, old, food with bad service. Only roti qulcha naan was costing me more than 100 aed which was unbelievable And 18 aed for only boiled rice??? The did not show any courtesy or felt sorry for my kid being hungry all the time due to their late rice serving at the time of billing. DID NOT LIKE THE FOOD, AMBIENCE, SERVICE, AND NOT A KID FRIENDLY AT ALL. I WILL NEVER EVER...
