WOK BOYZ - Dubai Silicon Oasis — Restaurant in Dubai

This is my first time visiting this location of Wok Boyz and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. Conveniently located inside a strip mall in Silicon Oasis, it’s the perfect place to catch some grub after your shopping. The restaurant has been done up in a roomy open interior style with graffitied walls, to give you the feel of a street side joint. There is a large glass window that looks in to the area where the food is prepared.

Having built up an appetite, we ordered a ton of food.

We started off with soup, we ordered a Chicken Tom Yum and a Prawn Wonton Soup. The Tom Yum tasted great, the Wonton soup was good as well. The serving portions are quite large, easily enough for two. We also ordered a side of Prawn Crackers to go with the soup and the serving size again, was very generous.

For starters, we ordered Spicy Korean Wings and Shrimp Gyoza. The Korean Wings were nice and saucy with a tangy kick to them. The Shrimp Gyoza wasn’t bad either.

For mains, we ordered the Chicken Laksa and Beef Ramen. The Laksa is a flat noodle dish served in a spicy coconut milk broth. The broth was soo rich and creamy, I just loved it. The Beef Ramen was excellent too. Again, the servings are supersized and can easily be shared.

This was my second visit to the dubai silicon oasis wok boyz outlet and I had an outstanding experience. If you expect a street style joint like the ones you will find in Thai or Hong Kong , you will find exactly that tucked in an easily accessible part of the souk extra mall in DSO . They have a beautiful set of carefully selected dishes in veg and non veg that appeal to all kinds of taste buds and spice levels . Their veg starters were extra ordinary and are a must try : we ordered the crispy spring rolls that felt super light & tasty , street style tofu ( I am normally not a tofu fan but this was outstanding with the soya dip that came with it ) and the veg crackers … yumm ! They come in shareable portions , so it was perfect. For the main course , I ordered a healthy bowl which they have recently introduced a few months ago with gochujang sauce and the taste was super delightful . A bit fiery , but super well balanced with a perfect mix of mushrooms , Aubergine , a wide variety of fresh and perfectly cut veggies, and a good dose of gochujang flavored rice . I visited Wok Boyz DSO, located at Souq Extra. Spacious parking outside, free parking for the first 2 hours. Upon entering the Wok Boyz. The place looks small but very homey and it has a beautiful mural painting. Enough chair and table to accommodate atleast 30 people. I was greeted by the staff at the counter and handed me a menu. For the appetizer I ordered Spicy Korean Chicken wings and Tempura. I also ordered their best seller Pad Thai and 1 Build your Wok meal (Jasmine rice/Beef/Snow peas-carrots/Japanese Sizzle/Spring onions) For the drinks, I always wanted to try their bubble tea so I ordered 1 matcha and 1 taro. What I love about Wok boyz is that the food are always fresh, and you can watch how they prepare your meal from the glass wall kitchen area. And when it's done they will served it to you right away. Most servings can share for 2.
