I tried out this restaurant for the first time recently. Gorgeous ambience, friendly staff, spacious area enough to seat 120 - 140 people comfortably. Two hand wash area and restroom which was maintained well.

I ordered a cream of chicken soup, a Kerala meal, ghee rice and beef curry and a chicken lollipop. The highlight turned out to be the Kerala meal. It had a fish curry also included in it, along with usual fare of items. It cost only AED 10.50 and was well worth it. All the items in it were delicious and filling.

Regarding ghee rice and beef curry, well I ordered it thinking its a combo meal whereby you are served a small amount of curry and the whole combo would cost 10 - 12 dirhams. However, on receiving the bill only, I understood that it was not a combo and the curry cost AED 19 and the ghee rice was AED 8. That's AED 27 which I thought was not worth it at all, especially since I didn't like the beef curry. Hard pieces of beef in an average gravy. Nothing stood out about it. I am disappointed I chose that.

I visited them around 3.30 PM and by then they had run out of biryani. That's why I had to go for the ghee rice option. My son chose a soup and starter of chicken lollipop. I tried the soup as well. The soup base was sweet and had shredded chicken in it. I didn't like it. Price was AED 12.

The chicken lollipop was juicy and yummy. There are two options - Dry or Sauted. If you like saucy lollipop then go for the sauted option. It costs AED 17 for 7 pieces. A warning though that it is very spicy.

Overall, it was a good experience. The staff were friendly and had smiling faces. Would I go there again?. Yes definitely. Wont be choosing ghee rice/beef curry and the soup. Next time am planning to try their biryani and also need to go for dinner and try the...

A Memorable Suhoor Experience!

We visited this restaurant for Suhoor, and despite the massive crowd, the experience was absolutely worth the wait. The way they managed the crowd was impressive—we got in pretty quickly after Suhoor started, which was a pleasant surprise.

The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly our server, Mr. Muttalib. Even on such a busy night, he ensured we were well taken care of. He carefully listened to our order, made sure we received all our food fresh and hot, and always had a smile on his face. His attentiveness and hospitality truly elevated our dining experience. He is a true asset to the restaurant, making guests feel valued and welcomed.

The food itself was fantastic—full of flavor, fresh, and served piping hot. Mr. Muttalib even went the extra mile to offer us more without hesitation. The tea and Chicken 65 were standouts, adding to the already great meal.

Overall, the service, food, and ambiance made this a Suhoor to remember. Highly...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at CALICUT STORIES RESTAURANT-SHARJAH, located within the Lulu Hypermarket on Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Road in Muwaileh Commercial. From the moment I stepped in, I was struck by the warm and inviting ambiance, which truly sets the stage for a delightful meal. The food was exceptional – every dish I tried was not only beautifully presented but also bursting with authentic flavors that genuinely tasted crafted with care. The service was truly top-notch, attentive and friendly without being intrusive, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. It's clear they put a lot of passion into their offerings. While it's located in a busy spot, the atmosphere inside feels cozy and welcoming. I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with delicious food and outstanding...

I had high expectations based on my first visit to the restaurant — everything was perfect, from the service to the taste of the food. The dishes were flavorful, and the overall experience left a great impression. However, my third visit was quite disappointing. The restaurant was overcrowded, which led to long waiting times — I had to wait over 30 minutes just to be served. To make matters worse, the beef fry I ordered was half-cooked, and the taste of the butter chicken, which I had previously enjoyed, had changed significantly. It felt like a completely different experience compared to my initial visit. What started as a promising dining spot has unfortunately lost the consistency in food quality and service. I hope they address these issues and return to the standards they had when they first opened.
