Wild Boar — Restaurant in Aberdeen City

Went there with my sisters and brother in law before a concert in Music Hall. Prebooked. Table was clean, service was quick. Staff friendly. Didnt have the Australian Shiraz wine in a bottle we wanted so chose Merlot. Very sour and sharp. Had a rump steak.Asked for medium cooked. It was but was char burned on outside which you could taste when eating it. It said 8oz but mine was much smaller than my sisters and had a whole side of fat and 6 other bits of soft fat which was horrible. Had about 10 chips,peas and some onion rings which were decent. And a grilled tomato. So still hungry after eating very little of my main I ordered Sticky Toffee Pud .Said it came with custard but i asked if i coukd have icecream instead of custard. That wasnt a problem. Sticky pud tasted like a bath sponge. Full of aerated holes and cheap bright yellow icecream. I was sharing this with my brother in law but neither of us wanted it after initial taste. I would go for a drink there but would not eat...

Was in on the 10th for something to eat with my mum and daughter before seeing spectra. Was very busy and struggled to find a clear table, when we did the server was lovely even though he was run off his feet it looked like he was the only person serving even taking the time to talk to my 4 year old, we ordered our drinks and food at the same time to make it quicker and easier for him. However the food came out before we got our drinks and he had to chase up the drinks. Over all I think the food service was outstanding considering he was the only person delivering food to 2 floors and taking orders but the bar service could have been...

I've been heaps. Never disappointed. Food is delicious, Fish and Chips or Steak and Ale Pie are both to die for. I've brought a few friends and they've all said the same, I'm going to dream about the food tonight. Drinks are great too. Milan gave us a free pitcher which was very kind of him, every time he serves he's always very nice and welcoming. Jen was on with him tonight who was very smiley and made sure we had we had everything we needed. Will probably go tomorrow aswell.
