Good old George- been coming here for years.. . ..but is it still Good old George? Well, it's still nice and handy to pop in to without a reservation but the restaurant really does need to tighten up on its service. 1. Long haired chef brings out Yorkshires, he runs his hand through his hair then transfers the puddings by hand. Yuk! 2. What was left of the Roast Beef was at the very end of edible. Chewy gristle in every mouthful.see pic. 3. I waited at the servery for least 5 mins for potatoes to come out from kitchen. 4. The Brussels didn't come at all even though I had waited and was told that they'd be brought to table. They were not. 5.The handful of peas that were left were dried to bullets. 6.Of the ladies toilets, they were clean but 3, including the w.c. for disabled had no way to close the door. I wrote and told them. They sent a lip service answer saying how the veg were fresh every day(I should hope so!) and they had spoken to the chef (All our chefs wear hats!!!- clearly not!!) but it seemed that this was fairly normal and I suspect letters like these are traded on a regular basis......well at least the tables aren't so sticky any more!😁

Really lovely place, seriously good food. The only (and I mean only!) Downside was the gendered 'accessible' toilets in the same toilets as the non accessible ones. Unfortunately not only is the fact they are gendered not ideal (what if someone needs support and their support worker is not the same gender?) but they also aren't actually big enough, nor do they have enough turning space for even a small wheelchair like my husband's. The use of a door stop on the door before the main toilet door also made getting Into the toilet hard. I supported him and I had to very awkwardly stand tight in the corner of the cubicle, the chair took up most of the small space, and the emergency pull cord nearly got activated multiple times as it kept getting caught up on the chair itself! Not ideal. Could do with a rethink, or a seperated toilet to be fitted somewhere. That aside, as I said the food was amazing!

Since they changed hands Nov 2017 this place is so much better. They are offering a great selection of foods from carvery to pizza and burgers. Their pizzas are fantastic and the Calzone was YUMMY!!! There is a salad counter and a pizza counter for freshly made pizzas to order. For the pizzas you are given a buzzer to go collect your pizza from the counter. The orders are taken from your table though so not totally table service but close enough. The carvery looks fresh and there was a steady stream of people getting them. The place is nice and clean with a bright interior. There is wheelchair access to everywhere including down at the restaurant via a wheelchair lift and ramped entrance. There are disabled parking spaces in the car park.

If I could give negative stars I really would. Our party of 7 went this evening to celebrate our twin's 15th birthdays. We placed our order; 6 burgers and 1 kids pizza. About 30 minutes later the pizza arrived, to be fair my son throughly enjoyed it, unfortunately he finished it before the rest of out order came out. 20 minutes after the pizza arrived 2 burgers were brought out, they were burnt and dried out whilst also being cold. The bacon on one of the burgers was black and crumbled it was so dry. Another 10 minutes later we received 3 more burgers (chicken), these were shrivelled, dried out and cold, we actualky snapped the chicken in half after we failed to bite into it. Finally the last burger arrived that we watch the staff put under the warmer to try and warm it up, once again dried out and inedible. The waitress almost ran from the table after presenting the 'food' and when we tried to discuss the state of our meals. The fact that at least 2 staff members (chef and wait staff) looked at these burnt, dried out dishes and decided that it was acceptable to serve these to customers is beyond belief. Having worked as both a chef and waitress I recognise that sometimes things go wrong, timing off, over cooked etc but today I had to wonder if this was the first time the chef had ever been in a kitchen and if the wait staff were blind, because there isn't a chance in hell I would have ever served that to a dog never mind paying customers. We paid for our drinks and left hungry. My daughter who has braces left in tears as the burger was so hard and burnt that it had hurt her teeth, turns out that it had actually snapped the wire of her top brace. It's such a shame as we have previously had a couple of decent meals there and the kids loved the bottomless ice-cream, but after this appalling experience we won't...

Pizza and carvery chain situated across the UK which affiliates to Toby carvery with a twist. There is free parking and the establishment is relatively easy to find. When entering, you perceive that it's just a timid bar area however, as you encounter further, you will embrace a colossal seating area down stairs which had a decent layout. The staff were generally nice however one of the waitresses forgot our orders numerously which seemed unprofessional and when I observed the carvery deck at first, there was barely anything on offer and what was seemed dry however this was fortunately requited after a while and everything was replenished in upscale standards. The salad station was completely empty but was told we had to order our salad (for free) instead but they somewhat over-estimated the portion size of the salads as the pasta just was too filling!

The food itself was generally tasty and money-worth - especially the onion rings and the mac and cheese cal-zone! on the contrary, the soft serve ice cream was pretty milky and the nut roast was presented in not an appealing manner.

The wait for our products, bill processing and generally the whole experience durated for much longer than I anticipated which somewhat depreciated my satisfaction unfortunately (just over 2 hours!).

Overall, the deals on offer, price, atmosphere, and quantity of food was on a positive note. the quality, service and consistency of replenishment needs room for...

I went along with my family on a Sunday carvery. Food under the heater hob had obviously been there so long that veg was shriveled up and roast beef was dry and cold. Turkey was luke warm at best the gravey pot was empty. When I actaully told them the issue the manager actually said " everyone else seems fine with food we haven't had any complaints mate" my reply then was "im not your mate" I'm a customer and because no one else has complained you think it's fine to serve this dryed up food. Her reply was we do temperature checks and it's all fine at 82c we check with our food thermometer 🌡. I was like the thermometer doesnt check for dried up shriveled veg. Cut long story short my partner and daughter didn't eat the food I struggled to eat the food tasted and felt like eating cardboard box. Felt like I was surrounded by hill Billy's in a Jeremy kyle restaurant. This food is ok when you have literally planted 4 or 5 pints down u and feel drunk, just like on a nite out pissed eating a pile of junk on the side of a dirty alley way at the end of the traumatic nite. Stay well away if you want to avoid 3 nite sitting on the toilet seat and not going to work for a week. Place looks a dirty very un hygienic place. On the way out I notice one of the food serving staff picking there noise and eating it, this literally made me sick when I went outside. Avoid like...
