Café Jak's Home Cooking At Its Best — Restaurant in Amber Valley

Only gave 1 star because I couldn't give zero. Twice in one week I went in. There's no way to let anyone know you're waiting that I saw (no bell etc) Just have to wait till someone comes out of the kitchen. Then they just walk past you!! To be fair today the third lady who passed said she just had a guy to serve and she'd come back to me but I was already annoyed that two staff members had acted as if I wasn't there!! Didn't even acknowledge me. The first visit was no better. Staff member outside chatting while I waited. After almost 5 mins I gave up and went elsewhere. Walked out both times without food. Which is a shame as I'm told...

We tried this little gem today for lunch my daughter met me during her lunch hour. The lady serving us was so accommodating and understanding despite clearly being rushed off her feet she did everything with a smile and chatted away to all customers young and old I would highly recommend anyone to try here for food or even just a pit stop and a drink Friendly atmosphere fantastic food and all done with...

After having an amazing dinner here the other day we decided to come back for a breakfast....What can I say outstanding service no sooner had we ordered 3 breakfasts it was on the table, tasty bacon tasty everything and as I don't like hash browns I asked if I could have an extra slice of bacon instead...was so pleased when she said yes...can't wait to go...
