Burgers & Dogs — Restaurant in Arun

This is only my own personal experience, many others may have had positive ones. Placed an order this evening, 90 minute wait for delivery, fair enough, its a weekend, I understand takeaways are busier. At the 20 minute late point, so almost 2hrs after order was placed, I was told the driver was "5 minutes away". Roll on the now 50 minute late point, I call again and am told the driver is "10 minutes away", it appears he's been driving away from my house?! I ask for the order to be cancelled, by the time it arrives it'll be 3hrs since I placed placed order so I'd like a refund. I was told "no", I begged their pardon, and was directed to get a refund from justeat. Then told to tell the driver to bring the food back, as they have 7 drivers out and they can't remember who had my order, heated exchange followed and I hung up.

Couple of things, no need to lie to your customers about where their order is, if its going to be late, say that, don't give it the 5 minutes away when it's more accurately an hour! And what takeaway service has 7 drivers and still can't deliver food on time, or for that matter know which of their drivers has what order. Extremely unprofessional in my opinion and has put a downer on what otherwise was a nice night in with my wife and children.

Personally, if I were you I'd avoid this place, and I'd rate it at less that one star if...

I never leave bad reviews as I think contacting the restaurant directly is the best way to resolve any complaint regarding food standard. However sadly I have had no option as the communication has been less than satisfactory with such a serious negligence. I got a takeaway delivered, first time using this outlet. The burger was raw, not pink but cold and raw. The chips were soggy as was the chicken burger. Sadly my partner didn’t realise it was raw until he felt the coldness inside as he has no taste buds. After trying to communicate with the restaurant immediately after and getting no response. I tried their email, constant calls to outlet then after 6 days messenger via social media. That got a response which was nothing short of unprofessional and with all evidence sent, still wouldn’t issue a refund and even questioned me why their food was raw. It left me puzzled and extremely frustrated. It is still ongoing but i think the safety of other consumers is foremost why I am now leaving this...

I am writing this review so that our customers can see who we have used personally within our business. On this occassion it was my wife and I who have been here a couple of times and eaten. The food is outstanding and great care and attention is taken to presentation. Their cheesy chips are to die for, their burgers are excellent, fresh CRISPY lettuce (yes it was actually very fresh!) and the mozzerella sticks were huge and very tasty. They came with a lovely dip too. Most often mozzerella sticks are bland tasteless sticks of goo but not these beauties. Our advice is to forget "Mc fastfood" and go here and eat. We actually ordered a kind of what you get meal at that fast food restaurant and the food was far more filling and of a much higher quality and all for the same money, say no more! Well done and keep it up, thanks...
