Avoid at all costs! Visited here over the bank holiday and I’m still in shock

They are clearly understaffed - Managers were cleaning tables as customers sat down and the salad area was a mess with lots of cross contamination which was very unappealing on a hot summers day. The ice tray over flowing and had food residue around it…

Management and staff attitude was awful - I think I could say maybe 2 staff members were helpful and had good customer service. You can clearly see there are tensions between the staff and the atmosphere was not nice especially for children.

After waiting an 1 hour for our food order to be taken then a further hour wait of updates that our food would be ‘15 mins’ we decided to pay for our drinks and leave after seeing a table seated after us be given their food.

We were then told our food was ready after just being told our food would be another 15 mins.

Having young children in clear distress and hungry no apology was made. When trying to come to a resolution to the female manager she repeatedly shouted we was LIARS in front of other customers despite having a booking and still having to wait for our table to be ready and our order to be taken.

There was absolutely no empathy or professionalism from management. I feel hurt and offended after my visit. Clearly further training is needed. Unacceptable behaviour from a well known establishment.

Not sure if this is a regular occurrence but seems from the reviews it is! Will never return.

EDIT In response to the inaccurate owners comment I will be further contacting HR with video evidence of this incident including the word ‘Liars’ being used by a member of your management. Considering there is also CCTV footage I would have reconsidered that...

Didn’t really want to give this a one star. Usually a regular visitor when we come to the beach but don’t think we will be going back anymore. When we arrived there was loads of dirty tables and we had to wait to be seated so they could clean the tables. No cutlery on the table.When seated we was waiting to be served when a member of staff who was serving the table next to us walked away from their table and through a tray and huffed off. 20 minutes later we still had not been spoken to about taking our order. The guy who came back after throwing his tray said someone will be over in a minute. 5 minutes later the same guy came back to take our order. Took our order and was fine then came back with pasta bowls for the salad bar. 15mins later our drinks arrived after people who arrived after us got their drinks first. When our food arrived only three plates arrived when there was four of us, told the waiter he said they didn’t have enough hands. Next thing you know they are taking food to another table and we was still missing food. So made a comment and 10mins later the final plate arrived. Food wasn’t up to scratch as the steak flatbreads was cold and fatty. Chips on all our plates were cold. Once finished just wanted the bill to leave as took our business elsewhere for dessert. Poor standard held by all members of staff including managers on our visit. We have to use harvester as they offer gluten free but will find other beach restaurants that are at a better standard to give...

Manager is a complete muppet!!!! Recent experience was horrendous, after waiting nearly 45 minutes for our order to come out, we had 2 meals come out with missing bits and one meal not turn up until 2 other party members had finished there meals. When we asked for a discount for the inconvenience we were directed to the manager. We tried to explain to him that the table behind us came in after us, ordered after us ate there meal and left before we even had our meal and he promptly stood in front of us and our children arguing that the they must of ordered food that was quicker to cook, clearly not understanding that they came in after us ate and left before we even had our meals. We then continued to tell him that two of our chicken stacks were missing the southern fried chicken and one was missing get the corn on the cob, he shrugged his shoulders with no form of apology. We also informed him that the drink we ordered at the beginning still hadn't come out to us. To which point he grabbed the receipt stormed of the bar came back slammed the receipt on the table and said I've taken of the refills and the apple juice and walked off. Again we still had not received any form of apology from him and he just walked off.
