Harbour Lights Cafe — Restaurant in Arun

Firstly, I want to make clear that my lowish rating is not for the cafe as a whole. It is clean, friendly (dog-friendly also), and the food was good. Others in my party were very pleased with their (non-vegan) food choices. However, having called ahead to check and been assured they had vegan options on their menu I was really disappointed in what I found when I got there.

No menus posted online, a one-page website with no contact details other than a link to their facebook page, which also has no menus and you can't message them through it. Their menu only had one item specifically labelled as vegan and that was a burger. Even mushrooms on toast was only labelled vegetarian! No vegan breakfast option, which would be so easy to create.

This is a bright, clean, friendly and obviously very popular cafe with a great view and location and lots of choice for omnis and vegetarians but sadly lacking for vegans. My hope is that this will improve in the future and also that they post their menus online so people at least know in advance what they're likely to find. We came once for breakfast which was really good, sausages on the breakfast were yummy really good quality, only minor thing I would change is that the toast that came with the breakfasts was already buttered but would've preferred to have butter portions provided so we could have the option of if we wanted it buttered or not. Service was also friendly and quick even though it was busy in the morning. However when we came back in the evening for a drink the service was completely different seemed like the staff working behind the counter just couldn't be bothered and didn't want to be there, it was very quiet there was only one customer infront of me who was taking a very long time to order and one of the members of staff was standing at the other till just on their phone when they could've offered to take my order as they could see the person in front was taking a long time to order, was stood there...

Terrible service, went here had 3 harbour master burgers and a big breakfast, had 2 plates arrived harbour master burgers, we waited for the other 2 plates, they came over with a big breakfast which had scrambled egg and no hash brown, which I ordered the hash brown as a add on, then the 3rd harbour master burgers came over, which was a sandwich, I told them to take the big breakfast back and the sandwich as that's not what we ordered, I showed the receipt to prove it, so I told the other guess to eat there food as it was going to go cold, after 20 mins our plates come out, the harbour master burgers came out fine with nothing missing, my big breakfast came out with one sausage missing and they brung out a separate plate with my hash brown which i order as a add on, its like they forgot it, i wont be returning as there was no apology from the staff, the place is a...
