Little Magna — Restaurant in Arun

I'm originally from India and I've lived in other countries in the west. I've never experienced racism of any kind up until this point. It’s quite ironical that the first racist experience was with the owner of this restaurant nearly a year ago. For starters, he didn't allow me to dine in while he allowed people who came after me to sit inside. I was asked rather very impolitely to wait at the counter. Following this, I was asked to pay upfront before the food was even ordered or prepared. It was extremely humiliating. I was forced to take a takeaway which I didn’t mind under the circumstances as I would rather eat in my hotel room than in the company of such rude, unfriendly and ungracious hosts. Now let’s talk about the food. I ordered a paneer and vegetable curry, and there were a countable number of paneer pieces (3). It was extremely oily and greasy, the naans were rubbery and dry as well.

I am really surprised this restaurant has such high reviews considering the unfriendly and unhelpful service, and bad food quality. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone nor would I ever go...

This is a nice little Indian, my friends and I have been here a few times for celebrations and last night was the same. We all ordered a side, curry and rice as well as drinks (all non alcoholic so much cheaper) and ended up paying £25 each including a tip.

I like to choose my food based on the name as I'm no big lover of any one dish and up to date I have like whatever I get. So last night's dish was a Badshe mix (it wasn't spelt exactly like that but it was similar) and it was very tasty. I think it had king prawn, chicken and lamb. And also I had garlic rice and alloo gobby. (spinach and potato) both were very tasty.

The only downsides being is they have mad a dip for the poppadoms work tomato ketchup with bits of onion in it and they tried passing it off instead of the mint dip which we had to ask for separately. (the ketchup is RANK) Also they started swiping or plates away without notice to rush us out which wasn't greatly appreciated as I'd eaten so much I could barley move!

I would recommend this place as its great value for...

Ordered online chicken tikka, lamb Rogan josh, pilau rice and a plain rice. Got a phone call immediately after accepting of the order staying they ran out of chicken so they could do lamb, plain chicken (which would be horrible) or vegetables. I chose lamb for the tikka. Said it would be ready at 9:55pm I got to the restaurant at 10:10pm just to be told they also didn't have lamb either so not only did they lie to me on the phone they also didn't bother recalling me and was left with no food... I could of chosen plain chicken 🤮 or veggies well that's not what I ordered! So at 10:15 left with no dinner! Did manage to get a cash refund after paying card online because I was not about to be out of pocket for 4-5 days...
