The Nags Head — Restaurant in Ashfield

I’m not gonna lie, as someone who’s lived in Sutton all my life, I was absolutely took back by how stupid there rules are, I was in a group of 8, I nipped home and arrived slightly later than everyone else. When I got to the nag I walked inside to look for them, to which a bouncer came and escorted me outside and told me, because it was after 9pm I couldn’t come in in my joggers. It’s not the point, but I was dressed smart not like some little road man. My partner met me at the door and explained there were multiple people inside that’s was wearing joggers, and I was still turned away. Ruined my night, ruined my friends nights, what an appalling experience. No wonder everyone is going to Mansfield for the pubs now.

Should never ever turn away a paying, (not drunk especially)...

Went to the Nags Head last night (28/04/23) and the lady on the bar was the rudest barmaid i’ve ever come across. So unwelcoming and aggressive. She refused to serve me and my boyfriend even though we were not “intoxicated” as she put it (the bouncers agreed after getting my boyfriend to walk in a straight line). It felt like she just didn’t want us in there for some strange reason. As a barmaid myself, I am aware how drunk people need to be cut off straight away but we were not drunk. Even if we were drunk, she could have refused more drinks in a more polite way. She was rude and I will never go back! Get yourself to new cross pub who had no problem serving us after we had to leave the nags...

I dont even want to give this pub any stars I am disabled i went in there on my mobility scooter i was with my husband and adult daughter was going to spend a few hours in there my hubby been trying to get me in there for months so i agreed so i rode in there but no sooner was we in there than the barmaid was over like a flash she almost jumped the bar to tell me i couldnt be on my scooter but i explained my scooter was my only way of getting about i even said i would sit in the corner out of the way of everybody but she wasnt having none of it so i asked for the head office phone number so i went to call them but what a surprise she gave us a number that dont exsist what...
