I recently visited the Café Nero at Ashford Designer Outlet Centre and had a pleasant experience. The café offers great coffee, a good selection of sandwiches, and excellent customer service, making it a reliable stop during a day of shopping.

The coffee, as always with Café Nero, was top-notch. I ordered a cappuccino, which was rich, well-balanced, and served at the perfect temperature. It’s clear they take pride in their coffee quality, and this location was no exception. The sandwiches were fresh and well-prepared, with a variety of options that cater to different tastes. I opted for the mozzarella, pesto, and tomato panini, which was delicious and served quickly.

The café itself was impressively clean and well-maintained. The staff were continuously tidying up, ensuring the place stayed presentable even during busy periods. This attention to cleanliness added to the overall relaxed atmosphere of the space, making it a great spot to sit down and unwind.

There’s also a generous amount of seating both inside and outside, which is a real plus. The indoor seating area is comfortable and spacious, perfect for escaping the crowds at the outlet centre. The outdoor seating was also well-organized, providing a nice option for those wanting to enjoy their coffee in the fresh air. Despite being a busy location, there was always enough seating available, which is impressive for such a high-traffic area.

I was met with attitude as soon as I was served in here. The manageress was multitasking and got just about everything wrong in the process of serving me. My order was then communicated incorrectly, of which I then had to verbally adjust so that I wouldn't have to have it made again. However, I was given what I didn't ask for and then has to ask for it to be made again. She then made it wrongly again and gave it to me. I mentioned it again, and they had a silly laugh between themselves, at which point I walked away, realizing that they had no intention of getting it right. Joanne (from Poland) offered a level of professionalism, pleasantness and expertise rarely seen in this day and age! With a smile and confidence, she customised my mince pie to perfection, offering to warm it in the oven, add cream and - skilfully picking-up that I’d mentioned my wife - served it with two forks - much to my wife’s delight! All our preferences with the teas were met - such as hot oat milk.
