It has to be expected that, with a captive audience, some companies will go for profit over quality and this place certainly meets that standard. To be fair we arrived at the venue at 14.30 so the selection wasn't great with several gaps in the shelves. But as it was a busy Saturday afternoon , I can accept that. There appeared to be only three members of staff serving, in what was still a busy period and the queue was about 10 people long although these were dealt with fairly quickly. We had two all day breakfast toasties, a couple of hot drinks and a chocolate tiffin bar. This was came to a somewhat astounding figure of just short of £20. No offer of a receipt was made when we paid. The toasties just about qualified as being toasted. Even though we had paid for the eat in option, they were handed to us vertically in the bags without even a tray or being cut on half. Whilst they weren't bad, one of them completely lacked any sausage despite being listed as bacon sausage egg tomato and cheese. The tables were not clean with various remanants and spilt drinks covering surfaces and floors. There appeared to be no serviettes so someone (presumably staff) had left a toilet roll on the side by the serviette holder instead. This is one we won't be...
Read moreSorry.....2 stars...staff were lovely, the issue is getting your coffee, you order at the till point then you go stand to the side in everyone's way and they have no idea who has ordered what drink. If you order 4 drinks they just come up randomly and you have to claim each drink. People who order well after you get their drinks before you as there is no system in place. We waited about seven minutes then one of the baristas asked us what are we waiting for (he was lovely and sorted our missing drinks) but here's an idea, take a name, here's another one, group people's drinks together like a normal person would. I get that for Pret it's maybe saving time or something but for a customer it's a really awful experience and it's across all your stores. If you sort this out let people know as I won't bother with Pret till...
Read moreAppalled, disappointed, dismayed at lack of Covid measures at a time when infections and now deaths are rising. Highest infection rate in Europe! No one of the several staff behind the counter wore masks and no screens. The croissants and under counter foods were exposed to staff breath and speech. There was no distancing between and tables of four had to be shared with strangers. The staff clearing the tables did not wear masks and in undertaking their job leant across customers and tables. No doors were open for ventilation and there was no management of numbers entering. The place was crowded and 'heaving' with few wearing masks or maintaining anything approaching a sensible distance. Total complacency as though Covid was over and beaten. Shameful measure... rather no sensible or basic protection for...
