Our Wedding at Cannon Hall was already booked when we visited their wedding fair in 2024. Whilst there we met Terri who was showcasing what The Pear Tree Pantry could offer for our drinks reception. There was no hesitation at all we booked their canapes the next day .

Communication throughout was great. Both Terri and Richard were incredibly helpful.

We were invited along for a taster session a few weeks before the wedding, no pressure for us to choose what we wanted, we were talked through our options then left to enjoy and discuss the samples.

Everything was stunning. The problem was choosing what to have.

On the day the team set everything up while we were having photos. They even popped a few bits to one side for us so we didn't miss out. And Terri appeared just at the right time with a drink for us while we were having our photos.

Our guests loved everything! We have had so many compliments on them. The presentation was brilliant, they tasted amazing and were exactly as we had hoped.

(I'd recommend the Pate and the Mango and Chilli Tarts in particular)

The team helped make our day perfect and I'd wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone!

Thank you all so much especially...

We had a wonderful afternoon tea here last week, a birthday treat for a friend. We had a warm, friendly welcome and throughout the afternoon, we were looked after by the very attentive staff, nothing was too much trouble. This has to have been one of the nicest ones we've had, having tried many different venues previously. Lovely choice of sandwiches and savouries. We were getting quite full and didn't think we'd manage the scone and cake. The lady (sorry didn't get her name) said she could box them up for us to take home. She came back with a picture of them on her phone, seeing the size of the cake, definitely took them home. We do visit often, it's a lovely place to sit out in the walled garden or courtyard with your cuppa. Highly recommended, you must try it....

An absolutely lovely cafe in Cannon Hall with brilliant staff, great little seating area, and a good range of food. Really good prices and caters for vegetarians with a small number of vegan options. They had a huge range of teas and both the tea and coffee tastes lovely. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is that I would like to see more vegan options and less disposable plates and cups — I noticed they were Vegware which is good but ideally would just have reusable things, especially for easy swaps like cutlery which could be reusable without too much to wash up. Also, would be great if condiments were not in the individual sachets and were just bottles that people could use to minimise waste😊 However, I’m really pleased with our visit and will...

Recently opened at Cannon Hall adjacent to the walled Garden . We have been several times now and had nice food and a cuppa. Owners Clive and Terri are friendly as are all the other staff. Cafe is tucked away under the archways seating outside (some covered) and small alcoves under cover . Parking is cheap in main car park (Barnsley Council) £1 for 2hours and then 5mins walk Definitely worth a look and good prices too ! More tables and chairs now to enable more customers to sit out ( some with umbrellas ) . They will make food not on the menu for you if they have the ingredients !
