Cosy Cafe — Restaurant in Basildon

Used to go into this place all the time beautiful food, lovely fillings in the sandwiches and massive jacket potatoes, always great value for money! Then when the business change hands unfortunately cheap dry bread with a minuscule filling small jacket potatoes with a tiny bit of filling and increasing price. Unfortunately don’t use this place anymore. I prefer to go to the station Kath original owners are there and again fabulous jacket potatoes and great fillings! But the girls who work in both caths are always lovely and try to accommodate you always it’s the owner...

Good, solid English cafe, serving a splendid breakfast and a load of other decent meals too. Service is prompt, personal and friendly, and the prices are exactly right. There's free parking on a gravel-type surface with just enough spaces for everyone. There's no airs and graces here - it's a cafe - but the food is freshly prepared to order, always good and served cheerfully. Pleasant enough place. Clean and staff nice enough. Don't bother having a tuna mayo baguette.... not enough filling given (Only half way across roll so about 3-4 mouthful of just bread!) Can't comment on other meals as first time visit and was very disappointed. I work in cafe and know my employer would never send roll or sandwich out half filled.
