My Delightful Feast at Five Guys Basildon
From the moment I stepped into Five Guys in Basildon, I knew I was in for a treat. The energetic buzz of the place, the open kitchen showcasing cooks at work, and the classic red and white decor all added to my anticipation.
As I approached the counter to order, I was met with a wall of options - a host of mouth-watering toppings and customizations for my burger. I opted for a bacon cheeseburger and felt my taste buds tingle at the idea of adding grilled onions, mushrooms, and Five Guys' BBQ sauce. The friendly staff were more than accommodating, assembling my burger exactly to my liking.
The wait was short - impressive considering the sizable lunchtime crowd. And then came the main event: biting into my custom-built burger. The first bite was heavenly. The beef patty was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful, complemented by the smoky bacon and my choice of fresh toppings. The BBQ sauce added a tangy sweetness that tied everything together.
But what's a burger without fries? I had ordered a side of their Cajun style fries, and they did not disappoint. Perfectly crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, with a spicy kick from the Cajun seasoning, they were an addictive accompaniment to my burger.
Feeling adventurous, I had also ordered one of their customizable milkshakes - a creamy vanilla base with added salted caramel and whipped cream. It was the perfect sweet ending to my meal, satisfying without being overly sweet.
What struck me about Five Guys Basildon was not just the fantastic food, but also the friendly and efficient service. Despite the bustling crowd, the staff ensured my order was taken quickly and correctly, and my meal was ready in no time.
All in all, my visit to Five Guys Basildon was a delightful experience. From the customizable menu and delicious food to the efficient service and vibrant atmosphere, it was a meal I look forward...
Read moreNot a cheap place for a family meal, a higher end mcdonalds, say. A nice occasional treat. Menu is very limited, a selection of burgers and a couple of hot dogs. Everything is separate, so no meals, you order say, a burger, fries and a drink all separately adding to the cost. Although if you have smaller eaters you/they could share fries, the lady at the till advised the large fries can feed around 3 people. Although that does depend on appetites. I like the way you choose the toppings/fillings for every burger/hot dog. Meaning no fussy people picking out the lettuce, say. Milkshakes are an eye-watering £5.65 each! And not large sized. But again you can add whipped cream for no extra charge. On this occasion we found the fries to be very over-salted, even the person who adds far too much salt to everything agreed!! So a family of 5 going for a bit of lunch, spent £66. Which was only 2 people having drinks, and 3 portions of fries between us all, 3 burgers and 1 hot dog. The place is small, not many tables/booths inside but more seating outside, I didnt like the hanging around of people waiting on their orders while your eating, I felt it was a bit close. But overall, we would go again, for a...
Read moreId never actually had a five guys before so thought I'd give it a try and have one for lunch today, I really wish I hadn't of bothered! I've brought a box of 4 frozen burgers from Iceland for £2 and they are miles better than these extremely overpriced ones, I ordered a double bacon cheese burger chips and a drink and it was a few pence short of £20, most of the cheese was melted and stuck to the inside of the wrapper and it looked like someone had sat on it to make it fit in the wrapper, the un generous serving of onions were bootsale burger wagon quality and the even less serving of bacon was tiny, crispy and tasted of nothing at all, I've never seen chips like that either, soggy and mostly skin from the potato, very unsatisfying not appealing to look at and definitely not worth the money, not quality whatsoever, if I had to sum it up in one word without swearing it would be EHHH, worst £20 I've ever spent on food, ridiculously stupidly over priced for no...
