Havent been here for a while and whilst we was round the corner and it was past lunch time, the kids were moaning, thought we'd try our luck. Waited a good few minutes or more before being shown to a table. Thankfully with no notice they could accommodate us. Then that was it for service. I actually have seen the feed the family for £15 advertising everywhere, but no-one came over, it's all order via the app and the deal wasnt on the app, nor any of the menus at the table. So thought we was going to get a good value lunch didnt plan out. Yes we could have left, but the children were hungry, we was sat down and it's just embarrassing really, 1 having to find a member of staff to ask for a deal that is widely advertised, and then possibly be told no, or 2, to walk out, whilst having to figure out where else to eat, instead of the usual M word. We finally made our choices and ordered via the app, I also wanted to use gift cards to save more money, but again, disappointed in the app, no way of paying via gift card. And again, no members of staff around. As soon as we had ordered the table behind us were complaining they were still waiting for their food 45minutes after ordering. 🤦♀️ Wish they had piped up 5mins before hand. The kids menu (on paper) shows a kids activity set, we never recieved that, again I think because of the no service thing. That would have really helped with the long wait for food. Also, another bug bear of ordering via the app, it asks for a tip...... 😳 a tip for what?? I havent been served yet, I may tip high and get no service, why tip before hand? It's not a must, they get a wage, who was it going to anyway? As I was ordering myself via the app, had to get our own cutlery and condiments, there was no service except the kitchen staff making the meal, that's why tipping at the end, so if it was a great service, or great food, then I can tip accordingly. Food came around 40minutes after ordering, all went well, was nice food (small fries portion, very small) but nice. Then ordered dessert, because, well, children. Lol. Again, a very long wait for ice cream, but this was a let down, basic tub ice cream. Not soft scoop or anything. Overall I wish all the deals were on the app to stop any embarrassment or shame, as well as all payment options available. Then we will be back again, but maybe next time with a booking and maybe we wouldn't have to...
Read moreWent for a birthday meal. Waited at stand to be seated for 10 minutes, every staff member walked past said nothing. Finally a lady came over took us to our table in the RESTAURANT area. Football was on and was so loud in the RESTAURANT area we couldn't talk. Requested to sit upstairs. a blonde waitress wasn't happy about it, so i felt i HAD to divulge and say my son has SEN and its so loud for him, just to be moved. It was extremely loud anyway. Another lady came over and said its fine. We ordered food, we wasnt told there would be a long wait on food, but was told that as we are ordering seperately, literally 1 minute after eachother food will not be bought out together.(ok so a 5 to 10 min wait?) 1st lot of food came out after a 50 minute wait. At this point a lady came to say they had not got any chicken strips for my sizzler on the 2nd order (So our order hadnt even been started at this point) this was after waiting for 50 minutes. I said id have the halloumi sizzler instead. So the 2ND order came out after a 1Hour 10mins wait. No sizzler in sight. I was served halloumi, fries and rice shoved on a normal plate. No peppers, no korean sauce etc, no hot sizzler. Took food to the till and was told they would bring sauce up and that Halloumi is not served on a sizzler (had to show her the menu where it clearly states it does and was on the tuesday deal) a family member then said about the wait time; for the blonde waitress to respond with... wait for it!!! 'WELL DONT BLAME US TAKE IT UP WITH FIFA!!! disgusting response and i would sack her if i was management. Disgusting customer service. 3rd lot of food came out after another 10min from the 1hr 10min wait, a few family members had ordered burgers, but one burger had nothing in it apart from chicken, everyone else had the lettuce, coleslaw etc in their burgers. Took it to the till and was told they had someone elses order. Chips were nearly cold. Also lipstick around the coke glasses. Toilet floor all sticky. We usually go here and have never had to complain before. I am so angry, disappointed and disheartened by...

We entered the pub gist after 7.30 and walked past a small area with a bit of music playing and walked through to the restaurant area of the pub.
We were stood at the "wait to be seated" sign for about 5 min before being asked if we wanted a table. This is probably normal as its a smallish place and they looked busy.
We ordered the food and the starters came, the chicken wings with franks red hot sauce were delightful and my wife liked her chicken skewers. The main dishes turned up and I started eating mine, it was described as hand-cut roast beef wrapped in a Yorkshire pudding. It tasted really salty and when I mentioned it to the server she said that "this is how they come in packets sometimes salty sometimes not. So it's not fresh hand cut roast beef as the menu would suggest.
We asked for the bill around 9.12 ish and sat and waited for it to arrive, it didn't. So we made our way to the server section and the lady was busy laying the room out for breakfast.
When I got someone's attention we were given the bill. It was incorrect but we once again felt we just wanted to leave.
The restaurant bar area had turned into a frenzy of barely if not underage children on a night out buying drinks at the same bar you are taken to pay for the food.
I could not explain that sight to you without it seeming made up but I assure you that what I have written is true.
Then we made our way to the entrance-exit in the restaurant. The doorman " yes doorman in a restaurant " told us that the exit was closed. So we had to make our way through a now busy and noisy club to the main entrance.
I am disgusted that you treat your guests to the restaurant area like this and have no regard for their safety.
What a waste of money and also the premier inn should be ashamed to have your menus...
