Greggs — Restaurant in Basingstoke and Deane

Achieved what we wanted whilst passing through the area. Inside has seating down one side catering for about twelve to fourteen people. It is busy as any Greggs is with people queuing to take out food. Our pasties were delicious and a small pot of ketchup was brought to our table when asked for. I've only given it three stars because we had to clear the table ourselves before we could sit down and the floor was dirty. Obviously there wasn't enough staff to serve and clean. However the young man who did serve us from the counter was pleasant and helpful. The two visible staff were rushed off their feet yet retained smiles on their faces. In the Chineham store in Basingstoke the service has deteriorated ever since they started their delivery service. They do not have sufficient staff for such a service and I have often had to wait while the only front counter server ignores the queue and gives all of his/her attention to preparing the delivery order. Then when eventually I get to the front hardly any pastries are available. On my last three visits all of which were before the lunch rush there were no steak bakes ready for sale. Rediculous for one of their best sellers. Really disappointed with how this once efficient outlet is failing...

No complaint about products but sat in having a bite to eat and drink, the closing time is 4pm , why is the shop basically shutting up shop at 2.45 pm !! People were sat outside eating when employee starts collapsing the furniture around customers , takes sign and outside bin into shop with eating customers and yet they still have over an hour and 15 till 4pm !!
