Herbies Pizza Basingstoke — Restaurant in Basingstoke and Deane

The Herbies that I grew up with and the Herbies now are two completely different brands clearly. I ordered a 12" margarita pizza, 4 peices of garlic bread and coleslaw. I was woefully underwhelmed by the pizza. The cheese was hard (all one piece) and tasted fake and there as barely any tomato sauce underneath the cheese. The garlic bread barely had anything on it and tasted of cheap oil lathered on top of a cheap baguette rather than real butter and garlic. The coleslaw wasn't too bad and service was fine. Overall experience was not a pleasent one at all and I will not be going back, I'm very disappointed and sad that the brand has been compromised with so drastically from the tasty food it...

Doesn't deserve a 1 star! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! Komal the manager is rude and doesn’t listen to the customers. She took the order down incorrectly and then blamed us that it’s what we ordered after it was delivered. She eventually agreed to replace the order after we told her we would leave a review and contact head office. The delivery driver didn’t hand the correct pizza over until we gave the incorrect pizza and garlic bread back. Disgusting behaviour, she needs to work on her telephone manor and always know the customer is right! I don't remember Herbies being this bad. It's been a while since we've ordered from it, but it experience this last weekend was dire. The pizza base was like those cardboard create-your-own bases you can buy from the bottom shelf of your local discount supermarket, and the rest of it had absolutely no flavour, which is surprising. They also got the order wrong (additional topping requested for one pizza that just didn't get added). I was even disappointed by the quality of the cheesy garlic calzones. Sad times all around, especially when the pizzas are nearly £20 each at full price.
