Poppins Restaurant & Cafe - Basingstoke — Restaurant in Basingstoke and Deane

The staff are probably the friendliest in all of Basingstoke. They'll welcome you and try to meet your every request (just ask). It might feel rushed, but they really do care about customer experience. I once made a comment about something on my plate, they quickly replaced my entire order with profuse apologies and without making any excuses.

Service is reasonably fast, and for quality is consistently good each time. One minor quibble I have (sorry! 😅) is that the knives for customers need sharpening. The last few times we have visited, the knives have been so blunt that it's hard to cut toast easily!

We sat & waited, the folks who came in after us for served first. We asked 10 minutes after ordering if we could have our drinks and waited another 10 minutes because our server was chatting on his mobile. The food arrived with a portion of NON ORDERED beans, when we sent it back, the plates arrived back with bean residue. Why did we stay, baby was eating & we were going on somewhere and by that time it was too late to go anywhere else. This has got one star only so I could review it. If you come across this branch of Poppins, run for the hills. Been to Poppins from Workington Cumbria down to the west country. This is the ONLY one I wouldn't give...

Poppins Cafe is Amazing place in Basingstoke ,UK Market Place . ,. It is different than other places in the neighborhoodvery . Have best friendly staff ,perfect - double expresso lol 👍 You can buy meals with bacon, eggs and sausage. The dishes are very tasty , but at the same time, absolutely delicious. All kinds of fried food can be bought for incredibly low prices. In this restaurant you can find people from different communities because everybody can eat  something tasty and cheap or take few minutes for coffe and cake . There are poets, businessmen, students, and others.
