Zizzi Basingstoke: A Taste of Italy in the Heart of Town If you're craving authentic Italian cuisine in Basingstoke, look no further than Zizzi. From the moment you step through the door, you're transported to the vibrant streets of Italy, with the aroma of freshly baked pizza and simmering sauces filling the air. The ambiance at Zizzi is warm and inviting, perfect for a cozy dinner with friends or a romantic evening for two. The decor is modern yet cozy, with rustic touches that add to the charm. Now, let's talk about the food. Each dish at Zizzi is crafted with care, using only the finest ingredients to bring out the true flavors of Italy. Whether you're in the mood for a classic Margherita pizza, a hearty bowl of pasta, or a fresh salad bursting with Mediterranean flavors, Zizzi has something for everyone. One standout dish is their signature Rustica pizza, topped with a mouthwatering combination of ingredients that will tantalize your taste buds. Pair it with a glass of wine from their extensive selection, and you're in for a culinary treat. But what truly sets Zizzi apart is their exceptional service. The staff are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, always ready to offer recommendations or accommodate any dietary restrictions. Overall, Zizzi Basingstoke is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates good food and hospitality. Whether you're a longtime fan of Italian cuisine or simply looking for a memorable dining experience, Zizzi will exceed your expectations. Buon appetito!

Food I ordered a pasta dish with King Prawns and Salmon. It was overwhelmingly disappointing! It tasted and looked like it was frozen food, pinged in the oven and voila! It tasted bland, less than a handful of King Prawns and the only taste you could pick up was the Salmon, which I didn’t want lingering in my mouth for too long! Dessert The Cherry ice cream was delightful and beautiful to both look at and eat. Served in a matte finished cocktail glass with a gentle drizzle, it was the best thing I had in Zizzi all night - better than the main meal itself! Mocktails A good selection on offer. Ambience/Atmosphere It was lovely right from the beginning, not too loud and not too quiet, a good balance. Good choice of colours inside and lovely plants adorned around the restaurant (fake as they may be). Service The service was great - in particular, we had a girl serve us called “Amelia” - she was lovely; very polite, courteous and engaging - she is a credit your establishment. Hygiene Good hygiene standards all round, including the washrooms. All in all, it was a good experience, but it was the quality of the food that let you down - had the food been good it would’ve been 5 stars, alas, it is only 3 stars. Personally, I would only return for the desserts and maybe some coffee.

Had meal here before going to theatre. First thongs we ordered we not available, so we picked another option, not a problem, but as we started our mains, a group of three women with three young children came and sat next to us, the women were engrossed in their cocktails and mobiles and totally ignored the three brats running around the restaurant, even in the way of the waitresses carrying hot food, we asked our waitress what was the restaurants policy on kids running riot, our waitress was obviously very nice at her job and didn't know, but said she would mention it to the manager, the manager then came over a d offered us another table, bit late tho as we were nearly finished our meals, so we declined, the manager did try and retrieve the situation by offering us free drinks which was nice but didn't take away the fact that these kids had ruined our meal. When then paid the bill and went off to the theatre. Apart from that food was ok as normal in zizzis, we had mozzarella balls for starters then I had spag carbonara and my partner had the calzone, which did have far too many chilli's in it to be honest.

Had lunch for two on a saturday. Was clean and well decorated inside.

Our server James was polite and friendly. We took a while choosing our food as we were chatting so much but we didnt feel rushed at all.

We were made aware of stock issues as we ordered (when i ordered the pork belly i was immediatly informed that they were out of roast potatoes but would be happy to substitute for fries) i found this excelent service. often you can order at a restaruant and it wont be till after the server has taken your order to the kitchen that you find your dish is unavailable, forcing you to rush your choice.

I found our food swiftly arrived and very well presented. very tasty and large portions. My pork belly was a great balance of flavours and the chips substitution didnt hamper the meal in any way. the crackling ontop was particualaey generous.

my friend had a linguine which they enjoyed greatly

the desserts we ordered: tiramasu and the chocolate melt where fine. they were average restaurant prcies and we had no real complaints. Id personally recommend any of the cake/dessert/ice cream places in town after a meal instead.

The excellent service made this outing very enjoyable and id recommend...
