Starbucks Basingstoke — Restaurant in Basingstoke and Deane

So it really does depend on who’s working on what day. I’ve mixed reviews and for some reason whenever I ask for it Childs temperature (like today) I was given an eye roll and told I’d have to sacrifice something. What I have no idea as this was mumbled to me!

The lavender matcha latte scolded my tongue and the roof of my mouth. It was unbelievably hot! This just isn’t okay especially after I asked for a child’s temperature.

In this specific Starbucks they always use way too much matcha making undrinkable. They leave out elements of the drink, like the foam missing on a pistachio latte, ignore your temperature request or use the wrong milk. I mean, what’s the point in asking.

This is the 3rd drink I’ve had ruined and cannot drink. When you’re spending £6-£9 for a drink you expect it done correctly.

And it’s too late to go back as you’re on the train and away to London. I really don’t like leaving negative reviews but for the love of God, please can you just make it how a customer asks. Especially when referring to temperature. That was inexcusable this morning.

This is a really convenient location but the service is inconsistent. On a very regular basis it doesn’t actually open at the stated times which is particularly annoying when you’re at the station just after 6am on a weekday for your commute - staff are in ‘setting up’ but they are not open for service. By far the best coffee shop on offer in Basingstoke Railway Station. The staff are incredibly friendly and personable and without fail welcome you with a smile. The food and drink on offer is exceptional given the small size of the shop, and everything is made to a high standard.
