Me and the family of 14 visited for Christmas. We’d been before so had high expectations, and in fairness, the food was good - though that’s where the positives end.
The Christmas ora the family had was quickly soddened - Both figuratively and literally. Before spilling an entire drink over one of the members of the party, the general welcoming was one of impatience. Note: we were on time and organised.
Furthermore, naturally when you’re in a party so big, you want to minimise fuss on the final bill and pay your own drinks where possible. When approaching the bar it was generally mismanaged and rather chaotic. Additionally, the team would often exclaim to one another in their native tongue, which would make you feel super uncomfortable and occasionally the butt of an insult of sorts.
The £45 for children’s chicken nuggets & chips is nonsensical. Hoping this was a mistype from £4.50 - however it was on the final bill and the payment was expected inclusive of it.
Lastly, some form of remedy / sincere apology for the swilling of one of the party would have been nice. None of them cared. From then on, every action was under the microscope… and we were disgusted with...
Read moreUse to eat here more often but now hardly ever as seem disappointed after eating and wasting money on a quite expensive takeaway.always cost is well over 30 pounds for 2 of us and feel ive just thrown the money away. My partner enjoyed his as he always asks for it more spicy so it obviously has flavour. Tonight i chose the dupiazza and it really lacked in flavour .. I even tried to add salt to make it taste better but it was so bland. It's suppose to be a medium curry but had no flavours of spices or anything .. use to love a dupiazza too. Always have to ask for nans to be lightly done as always come burnt and ours tonight still had black bits on them. Will defo try another Indian closer to home instead of still giving this place a further chance to get it right. Would normally inform a food place of something like this but I've tried telling them before something wasn't right and found them to not really take it on board. My partner may use them for his curry but I certainly won't sorry guys but u need to up your game there's alot of other Indian take aways to chose from that...
Read moreWe used to enjoy going to Jhinook so on a celebration night, I booked a table for myself and my wife. I booked a week in advance. We arrived and it was rammed, people waiting everywhere. The man asked if we had booked so I said yes, 7:30, he mumbled and walked off. After standing there 20 minutes, he still hadn’t come back or communicated in any way. There was 2 other couples also waiting for their 7:30 spot, when a group came in and said they had booked for 8pm, they went straight to a table which wound everybody up. Basically we were stood waiting nearly 40 minutes with no sign of a table being available, I told the man to cancel and we’d go elsewhere which we did. What’s the point in booking a table, when they just don’t reserve one for you? Seems they like to let anyone sit anywhere to get the business and others wait. Anyway, on a positive, we found another amazing indian restaurant locally that beats Jhinook in every way so we will be going there in...
