Went in on a weekday and it was ok. Popped in for a quick drink and sit down but came away slightly disappointed for what we received, the cost, and time it took to make 2 drinks. I ordered the chocolate milkshake with all the extras, mind you this was just squirty cream and some chocolate sauce. It was made with ice cream but was perhaps the most bland and least chocolatey milkshake I've had, for paying nearly £5 I expected better flavour/quality. The same sentiment goes for the pumkin spiced latte, again cost just over £4, was rather average size and again nothing above an average costa pumpkin latte. Overall it was a bit pricey and it took 15-20 minutes to make 2 drinks that were just about average, below average for the price paid really. The atmosphere was nice, well decorated however it was a bit cramped with tables a little too close together for comfort. Probably wouldn't visit again, nothing particularly wrong with the place but it's also nothing special and not worth the cost in my opinion. Also there was a mop bucket with mop full of dirty water in it left...
Read moreStaff were friendly, but the food was not great. They got so many things wrong with our orders. They put dairy squirty cream on top of a non-dairy chia drink!! They were told no cream on top! This is serious cause my daughter is lactose intolerant, that's why she had dairy alternative drink!!! Brown was asked for (toasted), and we got white! They said they couldn't cut the avocado as it was too hard! We were offered an alternative, we asked if they could cook the bacon really well, so it is crisp, and I even over explained what I meant. They said yes, it was not cooked how I asked. They main part of our food came out while the waitress was asking what alternative we wanted!!!!!! The food was so greasy and more like something from a greasy spoon cafe (no disrespect to a greasy spot) We wouldn't recommend here for a breakfast, may be a sandwich or a bagel or waffle is OK. And if you have an intolerance or allergy triple check they heard you, Or may be best not go here if you do. We will not...
Read moreThis was the 3rd visit to this Italian coffee bar and also my last. The 1st visit to the newly opened cafe was delightful. The 2nd, about 6-9 month later not so good. I ordered a scone, it came warm with jam and cream. Not an ideal combination as the cream melted and dripped down my clothing. The 3rd visit, today, was terrible. My husband's toasted teacakes was shown the toaster and was dry. The accompanying butter was hard. My scone, no jam and cream this time, was hot and very dry and hard. I was informed they warm them in the microwave for 30 seconds as 'they are kept in the fridge and would be cold and hard'. I was expecting a freshly baked scone!! Last visit, no more. If you order a toasted teacakes and scone - beware. On a positive note, the price was reasonable,...
