I came here for the first time today, and I’m not sure I’d come back again. The food was okay but the tables were a little dirty; sticky and food still on the seats. The ladies toilet wasn’t in a good condition at all, I did not want to use it myself as the toilet seat was extremely dirty. There was also a problem with the pricing of the food. I asked for a beef burger, chips and a regular Diet Pepsi like the meal deal stated, but I wasn’t charged the meal deal price which I found to be confusing. I thought I just had to say what I wanted and the meal deal would apply automatically. It was only 85p more so it wasn’t too much of a problem. I was with another person who ordered the same as me, but was charged less than me, but when his food came he only got chips. We had to inform the staff that we ordered a burger as well, and then they brought a burger over. Later on, the same member of staff who served us originally charged him another £3.50 for a burger he had already paid for. We told the staff afterwards and they eventually refunded my friend £2.00. I think it would work better if the receipts stated exactly what we paid for as the staff seemed confused when we questioned the price. Why are you still advertising your open when your clearly not? This business has now closed it doors to the public. Unfortunately it was very dated, the menu and food they served was also dated. If what was said in the guardian is true, the “”councils reply”” it seems to me that a new lease wasn’t negotiated for a simple reason, the business was failing. it was empty 9 times out of 10. So if you are looking at reopening somewhere in town, a word of advice, make it more inviting and please improve on your food, there’s some really nice places to eat in town if you want to compete. Example: cheap and cheerful I would go to weatherspoons and get a pint or a glass of wine with my meal for the same money. Home cooked food Jenny’s.
