Star Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Bassetlaw

I dont feel good about leaving this review as its a nice clean little chippy with the staff being very friendly and polite.. But has to be done! Went into chippy last night, placing a big family order and to my shock when i got home, the food was horrible! All chips was freezing cold even the curry and peas, food was really mushy, fish batter was so soggy 🤢 peas and curry containers was only filled half way, i went in at 6.45pm i just can’t understand why the food was sooo cold like it had been cooked hours ago. Asked for a fish with a small portion of chips and a doner kebab. Got home this evening and no fish, been working all day so couldn't be bothered going back. There was only 2 others in the chip shop when I arrived, yet I stood for about 5 minutes before one of the guys came and asked all of us if we had been served. The other two had, but surely he must have known this. My experience was very disappointing,I expected better by the price. The atmosphere was awkward. I was waiting about 15 minutes in that run down place while the lady (brunette,ponytail) was on her phone and giving me dirty glares. The food was horrid, if I was to give it 0 stars I would. The cod tasted like cardboard and the batter was soggy however the chips weren’t any better.
