Could not leave quick enough
Armature incompetent staff. We were seated straight away and already had drinks, but still took them 30 mins to take our order, although we had all been before and were ready within 5 mins, we had to chase the water that they were bringing when we first got there when they came for our orders.
They served 5 mains, and the 6th person in our party had to wait 5 min for their meal.
They put our party of 6, with 2 elderly people, next to a party of 18 celebrating a birthday who were very rowdy, we tried to complain about this more than once but they were of the attitude they could not do any thing about it, we asked to move but were told they were fully booked, where as there were 2 empty tables when we arrived and when we left.
They got 2 meals wrong but never came to ask how the meal was so they never got to find out. The food was reasonable but not as we would expect, problems with the meals were, over done steak, black pepper all over a dish with no mention of it, and unfortunately the person did not like this, and special instructions were not followed (do not include tomato and mushroom)
The atmosphere and staff attitude lead to us leaving without finishing our main course and not ordering the desert we intended on ordering.
Our party was 3 couples the other 2 couples were regulars where as we had only been there a few times. We will not go again and I get the impression the other 2 couples will not be as frequent.
This is a shame as the three legged stool is only a walk away where as our usual haunt (The Italiano ) is a lot further to travel but the staff are a lot better and the atmosphere is far better and the meal is perfect most of the time and on the only time we had a problem they could not do enough to sort it.
In general the Three legged stool could be a good place if the staff were bothered.
I don't normally complain, but as the staff weren't prepared to listen,...
Read more9 of us went today for a birthday. Anyway as soon as we arrived no one greeted us so we thought we could go sit down our selves.. then after about 5 minutes a lady came over and said you have to have a booking to come but we will seat you anyway.. go sit in the bar while I move some tables. Which fair enough we should have booked but the place was empty so we didn't see the problem. Then when she came to fetch us she then said I need to check bookings for tonight to make sure you won't disturb them which we came in at 4 so we knew we would only be there an hour tops! She then went on saying she was on her own today and we were inconvenient. So anyway she took our drinks order which took forever to come which fair enough she was on her own then took our food orders. When food came out she was rude and raised her voice at one of the guests saying I'm behind you Take this from me which waitresses shouldnt be doing especially at a resturant of this expected standard/reputation.. Anyway I ordered a stake medium and it came out very well done.. one of the children ordered southern fried chicken which was rock hard and could tell had been microwaved.. the only good thing with the meal was the kids all though we didn't even get the puddings which was apart of the deal. All in all had a bad experience with a...
Read moreThe food was excellent and the service was prompt and attentive without being overbearing, giving us time to relax and just enjoy ourselves.
The atmosphere was very quiet when we arrived, and slowly picked up towards the end eventually becoming somewhat lively, but was never obnoxiously loud which is ideal for my fiancée who has sensory issues; in addition, the tables were well spaced which would be ideal for wheelchair users and in addition to the lighting, gave the place a warm and comforting environment.
There was music of course, but it wasn't loud and featured a good selection of artists that for our musical tastes, were perfect.
I had cajun spiced butterfly chicken with chips, and fruit crumble with custard for dessert, and my fiancée had cajun chicken burger and chips, and a sundae for dessert, and we could not get enough of it, it was amazing.
The total came to just over £42, which is a bit higher than we would normally pay for for a meal for two, but in this case I think the price was more than justified, I've heard good things about the three legged stool, and for us it definitely did...
