Bengal Spice — Restaurant in Belfast

It was my first time trying this restaurant and although it was very busy the staff was friendly and welcoming. The service was good and the new owner came out and welcomed us which was a nice personal touch. The food was delicious and the wait was reasonable considering how busy they were. The byo is an added bonus and the atmosphere was relaxed.. I'd have liked a bit of background music but overall it was a lovely eating experience. The toilets were spotless which for me is a good sign plus in a restaurant it reflects alot about the overall cleanliness of the place. The only criticism I have is when the staff clear a table they use a very strong detol/bleach spray and the adjoining tables with food could be effected..for me it is a bit off putting..a soap and water solution would be enough for a table clear down and then a stronger disinfectant when the restaurant closes so customers don't get that strong smell rather that the wonderful aroma coming from the food..I will definitely be returning and with just a couple of tweaks and considering it has just reopen, we had a brilliant night...

I ordered a collection over the phone when I arrived i received a bag of takeaway food. I arrived home and opened the containers and found it wasn't the order I placed. I returned to the restaurant to sort my order the girl told me I had be given the wring order by a make member of staff when on the premises another customer arrived and he was handed the order I had took home. I informed him that I had opened the food and received it over 30mins ago. He informed the staff he did not want it and wanted it replaced. I left with my correct order to a verbal abuse from a member of staff who proceeded to call me all the vulgar names of the day in front of customers. Total disgrace at this treatment as a customer. I will never return this was the make staffs issue whi gave me the wring order in the 1st place. I had my young son with me and this was totally...

I would love to review the food but the only problem was that it never turned up. Ordered meals for delivery at 5.59pm. Was told it would be about an hour due to being very busy and they had a promotion on. No problem I can wait. 1hr 30 min pass and I ring back and say I can go collect if that would be quicker (I only live 3 minutes away) was told driver was literally going out the door with the deliveries so I said that’s fine let him go.

Now 40 minutes later still no delivery so ring again and was told that they take a maximum of 3 deliveries so he should be soon. So after 2hrs 20min waiting still no food or knowledge of said delivery. Rang back to cancel at 8.20 as it is simply beyond reason at this stage. If you cant cope with orders do not take them. Will never be near the place ever...
