Me and the other half went here for our valentine's/anniversary meal. We went on the 15th Feb and we had a table booked for 7pm. This was the first time either of us had been to The Wolf and Whistle, when we arrived we had to seek out a member of staff to find out where we were seated. They placed us right beside the front door which there was a chilling draft coming from, this was also located right beside the bar so it was very noisy. Towards the back of the bar/restaurant there was around 7/8 free tables in the restaurant section which was a lot quieter. I do not understand why we were not seated there. Once we got seated we were asked what drinks we would like, my girlfriend asked for the cocktail menu which the lady taking our order said they don't have any but she will go look for one, this lady never returned with an update. We then placed our food orders, the starters we received were absolutely delicious as well as the food from the main course. Unfortunately my girlfriend found a pieces of plastic in her food which could have easily cut her mouth or throat if this was not spotted. We raised this issue with the lady who seemed to be the manager, she dealt with this issue very well offering a replacement and was very apologetic. After our meal when we attempted to pay for the bill this took around 5-10mins as the card machine did not work + there was only 1 between the bar and restaurant so we had to stand about and wait for the people at the bar to finish using it first. SUMMARY great food but very poor customer service. Would only recommend if you were only interested in food and not the service you...

A great new all day menu was launched this week in the award-winning Wolf and Whistle bar in Andersonstown, and we were delighted to have been asked to go along to try it.
Wolf and Whistle is a spacious, stripped-back venue, with distressed wood, quirky features, and cosy seating areas throughout.
The new menu is extensive and caters for all tastes; many of the dishes can be adapted to suit a vegan/vegetarian diet. To start, we had the gloriously stringy Mozzarella Sticks with an incredibly moreish curried dip, and the Vegetarian Nachos had lots of melted cheese, chillis, a spicy veg stir-fry style salsa to replace the chilli beef, and a large cooling dollop of sour cream. More than enough for two to share.
When it came to the main courses, we were spoilt for choice as many of the new dishes on the menu sounded so tempting. Eventually we decided to go for the Veggie Burger with crispy Sweet Potato Fries, blue cheese, onion rings and salad, and a beautifully cooked fillet of Creole Salmon, blackened with Cajun spices and served with crushed baby potatoes and buttered green beans. Absolutely delicious!
But sadly, as the portion sizes were more than generous, we simply hadn’t room for dessert. Next time, guys! Thank you so much for the invitation, the warm welcome, the excellent service, and the opportunity to try the new menu which is sure to be a big hit. Hungry like the Wolf? Give Wolf and...
Read moreA walk-up dinner for 2 on wed 25th Sept at 19:20. Pleasant staff, quick service, although the place was practically empty with about 5-6 tables occupied. Both of us ordered 2 x 4oz smash burger with skinny fries and garlic diced potatoes. Burger meat was poor quality, almost tasted like veg roll, over powering bacon with only standard red cheddar cheese slice, with rocket leaves and slice of tomato, no relish offered for burger and had to ask for garlic mayo. Brioche bun too small for burger and missing part of bottom slice. Too skinny fries and diced garlic potatoes seemed to have been under a heat lamp, pre baked and reheated as there was a leathery texture instead of crispness. Overall the place is what it is downstairs a sports bar with basic fair, poor ingredients served without any originality or flair. We thought to give it a try. With hindsight we would have been better going for fast food and saving £20! £33.40 for 2 x burger and chips. Prices have gone up., but can't help thinking we were mugged here. Sorry, but will...
