We had booked a night at Ten Square, which included dinner at Jospers. We arrived, were seated and presented with our 'Bubbles' menu. We had a choice of 5 main courses, and all else was extra cost and over priced. We ate, ordered one dessert with coffee, and were ignored for the rest of the evening. 4 tables left, and 5 servers. After our plates had been cleared, we were left sitting for 25 minutes to 1/2 hour to wave down the attention of wait staff to get our bill. A 1/2 hour of empty table and zero service. Inexcusable. We wanted to pay immediately after finishing, but we're left waiting. We sat down at 6:45 and left at 8:35. I usually won't leave a review if service was substandard. I just won't go back or recommend that particular establishment. But the kicker here is, at 11pm that night we got a very ill tasting, accusatory email, chastising us for not attending our dinner reservation. Their opening line: "We understand that plans can change unexpectedly. We learnt from Jospers at Ten Square that you weren't seated for your booking on Wednesday, for 2." And it degraded from there. Humiliating, to say the least, considering that we were indeed seated, and served, as they took the dinner card we received from Ten Square, as part of our package, with our reservation time, room number and name. The hostess took the card and booked us in the computerized seating plan. The email was a slap in the face, especially after grossly substandard service. Perhaps Jospers management, upon reading this review, will look at the staff working that evening, and make the necessary adjustments. This should not have happened, nor should it happen again, with proper management and training.

I had a decent evening meal here, and while the casual setting and service didn’t quite match the glamorous exterior I would return. The staff were welcoming and while they tried to be professional throughout the service their ‘youth’ and freshness could probably do with a little refining. The interior wasn’t quite a cosy as I imagined but equally kept it from being stuffy and enabled the more casual meal experience. There’s a good range of drinks with a number of wine options available by the glass, and while the food menu wasn’t huge it’s adequate for any steak lover. Service time was quick and it was nice for the staff to be willing to pace out the courses to make for a more slow dining experience on my request. The pate starter was large and, for once, came with a decent amount of toast to accompany! Very tasty and well presented too. I ordered chips to accompany the steak which were really good but I must say the steak itself felt a little small with a bit too much fat for my liking. Cooked well to my order though with the sauce in a pot on the side. Overall it’s a friendly restaurant that I’d happily return to. Prices felt a little steep for the whole experience but otherwise it’s a nice option.

Jospers, rather like Ten Square was a top experience. Not my first time in a steak house but it was my favourite time in a steak house. Really nice atmosphere and a waiter who was really good and went the extra mile. The complimentary bubbly was a nice touch. What I would say is a few tables where wonky. Mines included. In terms of cleanliness in the actual restaurant. Sanitizer was available and the place was spotless. On to the food. Personally went for a bit of beef and bird and the missus went for a penne pasta. My steak and chicken where cooked to perfection and so complimented by the onion rings/chips. Dessert was absolutely fantastic too good in truth. (I didn't really need it) As far as hotel prices go drinks weren't badly priced. Good selection on offer too. The fry up the next morning for breakfast was the highlight not a bad word what so ever and our table wasn't wonky. Will be returning 100% Thanks for hosting.

Worst fillet steak I’ve ever had.

Before had even sat down we were asked if we were ready to order drinks. I thought this was very prompt and was actually quite impressed, we ordered 2 diet cokes. We were handed the diet cokes and the food menus and we started to have a look. Within 2 or 3 minutes we were asked if we were ready to order food. I said not yet and they said they would come back in a few minutes. Literally no more than a minute later we were asked again. I ordered bang bang chicken starter and fillet steak medium rare with a side of buttered vegetables and my partner ordered crispy squid and fillet steak medium rare. The bang bang chicken was quite good but my partner wasn’t happy with the squid at all and actually left most of it. I was sat facing the kitchen and I could see our steaks being plated up. I was not happy with the way the chef handled the food at all, he seemed to swap one of our plates of food from one plate to another and I wasn’t happy with the way he handled it with his fingers at all. The steaks came, served with fries and a large carrot cut down the length which was actually very good, lovely in fact. Then the buttered veg came (undercooked green beans and peas), and the pepper sauce which was lovely. I cut into the steak and noticed straight away that it was very rare, nothing like medium rare. It was very chewy and was not the melt in your mouth experience I was expecting for a £30 steak. I actually left half of it. Absolutely terrible. I wouldn’t feed it to my dog.

The waitress came and asked how it was and I told her it was terrible and that it didn’t meet the standard I was expecting from a “steakhouse”. I don’t know if it was the quality of the beef itself or if it was the chef but i made it very clear that it was not good enough. The waitress offered to bring the manager over but I told her I didn’t want any discount (an apology would have been enough).

Diabolical, will not be...

WOW!! This is long but worth the read! Booked late Saturday at 5pm for a seat at 7pm. We had definitely been lucky to get a table for 2 this late. On arrival we had been seated immediately. Waiter brought our menu and gave us a few moments, then returned to take our drinks. They preempted a water jug which was great. My starter was the breaded mushrooms. Normally when you get anything mushroom based you slice the mushroom and a waterfall of water descends, not on this occasion. The crispy breaded outside and the mushroom had been cooked to perfection, no broken crispy outside and no watery mushrooms on the inside. My husband had the devilled chicken wings, hot and spicy. :-) the crispy chicken skin was the stand out part for me all the flavour without the difficult to handle messy wings. Mains we both had steak, mine was medium rare - Perfectly cooked, my husband had rare- also perfectly cooked. The chips had to be triple dipped!!! They were Amazing. We both opted for the blue cheese sauce. The steak was tasty and well seasoned without the sauce, however the sauce was very tasty. Dessert was salted Caramel cheesecake. Now I make my own cheesecake and I am often disappointed by being presented with a moose pretending to be cheesecake!! I'm extremely upset that I can now say that theirs was better than mine!!!!

The packed out restaurant certainly did not seem to be a concern for the amazing floor staff!!! Just a word of warning. Book in advance the place was packed, I believe we had been very lucky to get a table short notice. Noce to see they didnt do what other people do and pretend they dont have tables when they do!!!

Great Job. We...
