La Scala Bistro — Restaurant in Belfast

We booked in at the Stormont Hotel to stay when our flight got cancelled, but the experience including our dinner was so good that we were actually glad to stay another night!

We ordered the arancini for our starter which arrived within five minutes, it was still hot, delightfully crispy and balanced in all flavours.

We opted to order the steak, medium rare, along with sautéed greens and creamy champ as sides, and were not disappointed. Everything was cooked to perfection, and we cleaned our plates.

As we told our chefs, we recently went on a month's honeymoon to Argentina and ate some of the finest steaks in the world including at Michelin guide restaurants, and we genuinely found this in that league.

We were staying in the hotel for few days for our anniversary. We had a beautiful meal om our last night. We were served by a lovely young girl , who's first day it was, she was very punctual and accomadating with any queries we had. My husband ordered Lamb Shank for mains, and myself the Chicken supreme. Both meals were absolutely insanely delicious . As my husband is a fussy eater choosing a good cooked lamb or steak meal can be hard to find. But oh my goodness.... what a perfections, shank just fell of the bone, and the chicken was lovely and tender. Highly recommend. Arrogant attitude, wanted to order a bottle of wine and was told they didn't have it, it's an old menu. As if it was our fault. Brought out our food after 3 tables seated after received it.
