Haptik — Restaurant in Belfast

My family and I was excited to visit the new Haptik which is conveniently located around the corner from where we live. To our dissapointment, the food was not what we expected.

Our table ordered two brealfast muffins with a side portion of sausage and bacon with my toast. All three adult orders included a very dry mix of chopped up bacon and chorizo/sausage. Each portion must have been half a slice of bacon and half sausage. Why would any restuarant think it is a good idea to chop up bacon and sausage, charge full price and serve it like it is part of garnish? For the price, this is a very bad idea and the reason why we would rather dine elsewhere.

This restaurant took me about 30 mins to find because I forgot the name of it. In my opinion it should be the first one to pop up when searching best brunch/breakfast places. Anyways the point of this review is to mention how amazing their service and food is all together. I ordered a waffle-chicken dish I have no idea what it’s called but it’s been almost 2 months and I can’t stop thinking about it lol. Been here many times - coffee is great but this time the head chef has changed and i felt the food wasnt quite up to its normal standard. we asked for our dishes to come with bacon and it was served sliced up which we did not ask for. we raised the point with a staff member who looked like the manager and she got on the defensive about it, seemed to think as we asked for bacon on the side this is why is it was sliced? makes zero sense at all. poor customer service for sure with this specific manager, apart from her the customer service is usually excellent. would return for a takeout coffee but not...
