Beyond disappointed with my last visit! - As a Sunday regular I decided to bring some friends along on Saturday expecting great food and service that we normally receive. However I can honestly say I will not be back.

Service and everything was great until my food arrived. I had ordered a steak and peppered sauce (as it comes on the menu) This arrived with gravy which I had already poured over my steak. The lady apologised and brought it straight to the kitchen. From our table we could see the kitchen and the chef began shouting at the waiter clearly over my food.

10-15 minutes later (The whole table had already finished their food) My plate arrived, as picture below; no sides at all. I then said to the waiter apologies but I've waited so long I have cold chips and no onion rings. Again promptly she went back to the kitchen obviously asking for my sides to again be SHOUTED at by the chef which we could hear from our table. The poor waiter came back to our table apologising, SHAKING & SUTTERING.

See attached image of my plate returned - I can assure you this is not how it originally looked. Why? Considering this was a kitchen error.

Very unprofessional, no staff should be treated like that. Especially as an HR professional - This was...

Myself and 3 friends visited The Bowery on Saturday night for our joint 30th birthday meal.. They launched a new cocktail menu and we ordered 4 cocktails..However service was very slow, the waitress was updating us every ten mins or so on the status of our cocktails. We were told that our cocktails would be free because of the long wait.. we were happy with this. When our food arrived it was beautiful, really fresh and tasty, however we didn't receive any sides, we had finished our meal for at least 15 mins before our sides came out. We sent them back as we had finished eating. When we ordered another drink they didn't come at all so we asked for the bill. The assistant manager apologized profusely and stated that because they had launched their cocktail night, they were very behind. He gave us our meal on the house due to our long waits, which we were very shocked at. We didn't expect this but gladly accepted as we had waited too long on everything. As service was slow, this didn't put us off.We will definitely be back to experience The Bowery again. It was a busy night however very clearly understaffed One thing I would say is, don't launch a cocktail night on a busy Saturday at the end of...

My first ever review, I was there today for Sunday lunch, the food was nothing special, we were sat at table 41 at the top of steps with absolutely no room to move the food was served on a large board this would be a great idea if there was a big enough table, we couldn’t get the food off the board without it falling all over the place, to much piled on, the steps were very busy at my back, the issue was there was bigger tables all over the restaurant with no one at them, there was wire round two sides of our table thank god must be to stop everything hitting the ground, the broccoli was that hard it may have damaged the floor, so I complained about this, they offered me a drink and said there was a no show that’s why we had to be seated there, Duncan the manager didn’t even think he should speak to us. One thing I must say is the young waitress were excellent and couldn’t be more kind than they were, I would suggest if you’re considering Sunday lunch you look around, when I arrived before I sat down I was told I would have to leave at a certain time even though they weren’t busy, when I was leaving I met people I knew, they were seated outside reading menus I hope they...

Started with the beetroot & goats cheese, both the goats cheese and beetroot were tasteless, most likely cheap ingredients. For the main we got the 28day aged beef sharing platter, the beef was cold, completely tasteless like chewing on water and covered in fat which had to be cut off. The sides were nice but also pretty cold. My partner had some water on his plate when it arrived which he thought was just plain water but then he could taste fairy liquid while he was eating so it appeared to be soapy water on his plate. Further to that within no time of leaving the restaurant we both started getting very bad stomach cramps and were both sick the rest of the night. Won’t ever be returning. Not recommended at all!

High quality ingredients and expertly crafted flavours all at a reasonable price point. We opted for the 21 day aged rump sharing platter which was perfectly soft & tender - utterly mouth watering throughout. Portion size gives you bang for your buck as well. The hot chicken wings with cashew nut pesto was a divine combination kudos to the chefs on that as it was a perfect explosion of flavour in every bite. Arguably the best wings I’ve ever had so would return for them alone. Atmosphere and decor is very nice and modern with a cosy feel to it. Poor venue for general publicans & live sport (often playing without sound) given the atmosphere and price of drinks.
